Impreza GC8 98 or 99 impreza rs 2.5 into 97 impreza L questions

any body sone a swap like this? is it an easy swap pretty much bolt in and plug-and-play or do i have to mess around with electrical like a wrx swap?

99 legacy GT/Outback, look for one with replaced headgasket or (blown HG that you can replace) and least amount of piston slap. Change all the oil seals.

The only wiring you need to do is the carryover of the engine harness to the new motor. Your ecu is plenty capable of running the EJ25 with no problems.

Straight plug and play.
