Where is this hubcap annies that you speak of and what do they charge for powdercoating?

I saw on another nwic thread that they're doing an Xmas tree meet. The idea is to get everybody together and go up to cut down Xmas trees. Sounds like fun IMO. If there's any takers, it sounds like an excuse to have a little driving time on our Sunday meet. We don't have to go cut our own, maybe just go tree shopping. Call me what you will, but I LOOOVE CHRISTMAS!!!

Even if I did go tree shopping, there's no way I would strap one to the top of my car. Scratched paint anyone? Lol. I love Xmas too but I just put up my fake tree, saves trees lol

They are on Main in meridian I think... I stopped by today and they said it would be $110 per wheel to fix the curb damage, they dont do powder coating, they just re paint the wheels. But I don't think I wanna pay $400+ to get my wheels fixed and repainted. Thats alot of money, But im still debating about it

Yeah you'll probably have better luck buying a spare rim.

I want to get my wheels pc'd. Just don't have the dough right now, or the extra set of wheels/tires to roll on while they're being painted.

I'm downgrading to my plasti-dipped stockers tomorrow, but I'll get traction in the snow again! The Starspecs haven't exactly been working out in the snow.

Ya, ~20 bucks to dismount the tires and then ~40 to mount, and then however much painting or powder coating costs. I hit up Real Coatings and Moda Metals on IMS, Real Coatings isn't taking any coating jobs right now, but I'm waiting to hear back from Moda Metals.

C30 is def a nice looking hatch. I saw the running/brake lights on one the other day though and thought they looked funny.

I had a C70 rental in Philly for a couple of weeks and loved it. Lots of bells and whistles.

Taking delivery in Sweden? Moving? Do tell.

I've also been intrigued by the c30.

If we're lucky, there will be snow on Sunday, and a nearby empty parking lot.

We should film it and make a teaser for the upcoming NWIC Boise short film.

My brother-in-law's outback sport has a head gasket leak on both sides. He noticed the leak when he changed the oil last and his coolant was on low. He loses 1/3 low-to-full mark of coolant in about two weeks. Coolant and oil are both clean, and he has no other symptoms besides a bad catalytic converter. He is being told the head gasket needs to be replaced and he should just get a new motor.
I know the early phase II engines had a head gasket leak problem... subaru recommends adding coolant conditioner. His oil and coolant are both clean and his coolant system holds pressure. His car has 120k miles.

Any advice?

Running RWD on bald tires = not a good idea. I was getting stuck at the stop lights. Barely made it up the overpass on eagle. Drifted it all the way up barely moving lol.

actually European delivery is CHEAPER than normal dealer sales price (5-8%) plus it comes with 2 round trip tickets to Europe (roughly $2500).. as there are no or less import tariffs on a used car coming into the usa
mine will look exactly like the one above

you order the car 4 months out
arrange payment 30 days before delivery
pick up car in gothenberg sweden
it comes with 15 days of EU registration and 15 days of insurance
drive around europe
return the car to dozen or so drop off points .. car is shipped to local dealer which takes ~45 days

Final details on the meet:

When: Sunday, December 5th, noon till whenever
Where: 5 Guys Burgers on Eagle Road, near the intersection of Eagle Road and Ustick

No need for a clean shiny car with the weather. Just show up, talk subies, and enjoy some good burgers.
