Well I deleted the whole system but for reference there "should" be a breather on that line. I personally put the breather directly off the section at the rear of the car:

Not that Iím aware of, they are just the ďfilterĒ for the evap system. The line to your intake manifold was the only vent and is now capped off. I just ran a 5/16 fuel line from the hard line down to the frame rail just above the front control arm. That way the pressure vents under the engine bay and gets pulled out under the car

No, they use that hose you capped off to breath. The canister is to minimize the smell of fuel. Thank you EPA, lol. You can leave them on, take them off it doesn't matter just make sure the fuel tank has some type of vent connected to it.

if you remove that/cap it. will that stop the "not able to fill tank all the way up" problem? I have all my OEM stuff still but currently the pump clicks off at right above 3/4 a tank

No, it is most likely not a solution to your issue. Deleting the Evap system can cause issues with filling up if done incorrectly.

Thanks guys. I suppose the obvious answer to why would I want to vent the tanks is, BOOM. Also I guess there are vacuum issues that could become problematic

I keep my car in the garage which is finished and doubles as my gym, so venting it is kind of a PITA, no matter where the vent is.

The smell of fuel is annoying while working out. I don't have any issues while filling up.

Edit - I've never had a problem filling up, or with fueling, or anything else while having that line capped. I did read for quick second how pressure or vacuum could be problematic, but I've had that capped for months without issue. Even so, I removed the cap just in case.

I think my gauge and its included relay will work for map switching without adding any relays.

Here's the diagram I came up with - where should I put the ground off the TGV? Does the rest look OK?

ETA - I just tested the gauge and its fail-safe relay (as wired in the diagram below) with a 9 volt battery. Seemed to work as it should - put the gauge in fault mode and I get 0 volts - put the gauge in non-fault mode and I get 9 volts.

I think adding in a fuse on the 5 volt input line to the ECU is a good idea.

Now I just need confirmation on where to put the ground off the TGV plug...??

The charcoal canister should have a line from the tank a line to the engine with a solenoid and a vent that should have a solenoid on it, when the system purges the canister it will suck fresh air through the charcoal and pull the fumes into the intake in stock configuration, if you cap the line at engine end and the ecu still tries to vent then it will equalize pressure in tank with atmosphere at that time rather then adding slight vacuum through the canister at whatever pressure it takes to suck air through the charcoal

Been waiting to update this page until some things are resolved. Getting very very close. Builder and team have been top notch.

Haven't done anything to the car at all.

I did just find something I missed and I'm hoping I can get an exchange for. I initially went with their stage 3 controller, not realizing their stage 4 had the software.

Check out Snow's stage 4 meth controller, and the software they've made. What do you guys think?

Waiting on others and I've given up most interest in the car at this time. You name it and it's happened. Right down to USPS loosing my 1/2" head studs.

To be fair, the Steve and S&S Performance has been fantastic since the start, and still is exceeding my expectations in the service area with the small exception of some time delays, but that's typical with things of this nature. It's hard to lean on someone who has done nothing but go above and beyond during and after the sale.

On to other hobbies for now......

I did end buying the WI controller two posts above, but, really .........

If I could hand over the keys and all the parts for an agreed upon dollar amount without any of the hassle that goes with it...I'd have done it yesterday.

If someone walks in my house and sees the piles of HI-PO parts and the car and wants to get a deal - contact me.

Thanks. I just lost my momentum and the result is almost zero interest.

As you all know it's a time and money consuming hobby and I'm far beyond my comfort zone with regards to how much of each I've used.

Unless I get that unicorn sale I imagine I'll get some interest back around November.

Donít worry man, I think itís part of the game. I parted out in 14 and, Iím back.... Its a hobby, something fun to do. Enjoy your hobby, if it gets aggravating take a break and come back when your ready.

Sorry to hear, PDX. Iím in the same place with my car. We all know itís a love-hate relationship with these things, especially these finicky Subarus. Sometimes stepping away from it is needed to repique the interest. That can be in the form of leaving it in the garage to be an X thousand dollar paper weight, or selling it and moving on. Weíve all been there one way or another

Similar is right. I contemplated holding off on that meth controller but all I had to do was think of your car and the fact you were buying parts right up until the end. It made me feel better and, for that reason I dropped another few hundred.
