Default Ford cancels the Fiesta RS

Quote:
We heard lots of rumors back in February about Ford, dropping the RS badge! These rumors turned to be official news and the British media announced today that the Fiesta RS will not be built! Yes, this was revealed bt the director of Ford Team RS, in a recent interview made by Evo Magazine. But why they want to do such a thing? Well, according to our sources the manufacturer considers that the new vehicle will not generate such big profits and it will be better, that in these hard financial times, to avoid this kind of vehicles.

It's sad, but I would rather have a Fiesta ST anyhow. In Europe the Focus ST sits at around 240 HP from a volvo five and is by all reports a very class competitive car. I would rather have something like this that could still rip apart any other compact competitor but still be cheap enough to actually afford.

The sad news is the "these kinds of vehicles" comment. These kinds of vehicles are the things that get high school kids hooked on the cars and ultimately buy them. Just knowing that the GTI exists makes it easier for some people to stomach getting a rabbit.
