How do you like them and how do they hold up? I bought some Mutekis about a month ago and the paint is chipping already (they are red). I was thinking of picking up a set similar to what you have or the black ones.

Well the Mutekis started having paint flake off during the first installation on my wheels
I literally had to use a plastic bag between the adpater and the nut itself just to keep the paint intact (what can I say - the lugs were freebies). The Mc Gards on the other hand are fantastic. I've only rotated wheels once since install, so I haven't had to work on them much, but the finish is holding up superbly. I think the trick is that the actual area where the adapter/key has to meet the lugs is in normal silver/chrome, so there's minimal risk of anything flaking off. I'm not sure if the same applies to the black McGards, as those I think are completely painted in that colour. <shrug> |

The key is the McGards are hard anodized.

Same. My black McGards are my WINTER lugs..5 seasons and they're starting to show salt damage but not much.
I have to find new winter lugs though since I went to an extended stud. |
