You can't use those, the GR suspension is different.

Awesome! Yeah im going to pick up my 2001 outback ltd today and have plans to do something similar to yours. Just curious, I don't have the money for coilovers so which type of strut/spring combos am I gunna be looking for. I read somewhere that legacy suspensions should work on the outbacks but drop a little more?

I am actually using a Legacy spec'd Coilover system from K-Sport. Any of the like year legacy suspension will line right up with ours on the Outback. As for being lower, you are correct. As the outback is naturally a couple of inches higher for ride height, putting the legacy coils or struts and springs will automatically bring the ride height of the outback down by a couple of inches.

Default My 07 H6

this is my 2007 Legacy outback LLbean H6

when i first got it she was sitting high up off the ground. I found a set of legacy GT struts and sprint and swap out the stock struts and lowered it down about 2 inches from stock height. after that I swapped out the rear sway bar for a 24mm cobb sway bar to tight it up in the corners. Its riding on a set of Legacy gt 06 rims 17 inch.

I also blacked out the head lights and tinted my tails with uv tint spray, and yellow over lays tint on the fogs. I put a set of rally armor. I tinted the windows. I was able to find some one with the same color legacy that wanted to go wingless and I swapped trunks for a wing and debadge it. I just put on the dual quad tip Megan 3" from cat back exhaust. Sounds nice and looks great I thinkorns.

I forgot the set of hella horns. And A DIY wire ground kit

things that are next on my list are. Need to get a set of wheel spacers to help fill in the fenders

Engine/Performance
Full 3" from cat back Megan quad tipp exhaust

Suspension/Handling
Lower on a set of LGT struts and springs
24mm Rear Cobb Sway bar with up graded bushing
LGT 17" rims plasic dipped black

Exterior
Hella horns
Rally armor mud flaps
Debaged trunk

Lighting
Blacked out head lights
And tinted tail lights
Headlight armor overlay yellow foglights

Interior
Didnt like the look of the fake wood trim and I got some carbon fiber overlay
35% window tint

i have a 2000 sube legacy outback 2.5na with a question about coil overs. the car is bone stock, and i need new rear struts; i was gonna take this opportunity to install coilovers but having some trouble finding them for the 2000 legacy. i dont need anything too stiff, (its my wifes DD after all) i just need something that will give it a nice low, stanced look, but no retarded camber. im somewhat budget minded although i know "you gotta pay to play" any suggestions? the only ones i have found a Ksport brand and all my tuner buddies are telling me to stay away from those. i'm coming from a V8/muscle car background so this is a little new to me. any help would be awesome, thanks.

Ronald_Type-R... i thought my outback was heavily modded (which it is), but yours definitely takes the cake for now! can you get a few under-car pics? i'd love to see the braces you have to see how you got them to fit.

do you know if any parts you installed are 5-speed/manual specific? my car is sadly an automatic.

how did you get the larger swaybars to fit?

i love the roof-rack delete!

thanks!

this is awesome. same car that i bought. i would certainly have to get some coilovers cause when it rains heavy here at work the street floods and there is no way to get out if a car is lowered.

Please post,

Pic.
Suspension your running.
Any mods you had to do to make it work.
Wheel, tire size and offset.

As soon as I get mine all set up and figured out I will post pics. I own a 2003 Outback VDC Sedan with all options and Black leather...

I am running,
KW V2 coilovers for 03+ Legacy fitment.
Group N front top hats 02+ Impreza, wrx or STi fitment.
Legacy Spec B rear top hats.
Whiteline rear 20mm adjustable swaybar set on stiff Legacy/Outback fitment.
04+ STi Rallitek rear endlinks.

Mods to make it all work,
Removal of rear rubber bump stops that are mounted to the frame.
I will be installing paranoid 1" spacers front and rear, I am low at the suspensions highest setting. The ride is amazing and 100% better than factory.

Mods to come,
Rolling of my fenders front and rear.
18x8 STR 601 wheels +40 offset. "BBS LM reps".
225x50x18 BFG TA tires.
Whiteline 22mm non adjustable front swaybar Legacy/Outback fitment.
Whiteline front endlinks 02+ WRX fitment.

Stay tuned. I look forward to reading and drooling over your Outback.

joe r
You got any pics? Would be very interested to see how this setup looks; I'm pondering a very similar setup for mine (2004 OB H6 LLBean Wagon, white/tan on tan interior; 100% stock as of right now).

Also, did you have any problem with rubbing after rolling your fenders?

You have any problems with rubbing with that setup? Going to go ahead and guess you rolled your fenders haha. 8.75 would be a nice width to run if it's practical, because it could allow for a really wide tire (255/45 would be awesome).
