You should research which products are best first, then buy.

Assuming its the Nu Finish wax, yes, it's perfectly safe.

well I will use it on my old 95 mitsu so i had to buy it anyway. ;P
And it is the Nu Finish-Once A Year Car Polish. It says that it has no wax and it won't scratch the clear coat. I am just asking because it don't want to mess up my new rex. =]

I'm sure it will work fine, but a one step polish won't give you the same results as a full detail. Wash, clay, polish, wax. I only use Meguiars products.

It actually works pretty well. Won't give you the best shine or gloss, it does last longer than most though. Works great on painted wheels and engine parts. Also works well on exhausts.

I've used new finish before with the pc and orange pads and was by no means happy with the results. It will give the car a nice shine but it will not remove any imperfections in the paint- swirls and scratches.

Take his advice, he's one of the few on here that know what they're talking about when it comes to detailing. Also, check out some detailing forums such as autopia.org or detailcity.org You'll learn a lot.

I save my old leftover waxes or the one's that I wasn't completely satisfied with for using on wheels, door jambs, other peoples cars, fiberglass showers etc... There's always something to use it up on. I bought Nu-Finish one time but I use it on all my brass for reloading, works great!

i just used the nu finish on my '95 mitsu galant and i have never seen my car in such a good condition =]=] The only complaint i can have is that it does not cover any scratches. I even think, it exposes them more...

Yes it is safe to use but I'm not fond of Nu Finish. I like using Mother's or Meg's brand.

It will look good, very nice... but you have to put a lot of effort to make it really shiny

You would be better off using a mild paint cleaner like meg's deep crystal paint cleaner, followed by a good paint sealant...klasse super glosse, optimum poliseal, poorboy's...etc. it's an easy two step process (not including washing) that will yield better results (glossier and deeper...and for me, klasse outlasts nufinish).

If I remember correctly Nu-finish is not a wax, it is a paint sealant. Sealants are not as aggresive and waxes and have a longer lasting protection.

For the most part sealants are going to last much longer then a carnuba or a synthetic wax.

Here is my recommendation:

"Klasse All-In-One car polish & wax" and finish it off with "Klasse Sealant Glaze" and for winter protection (I live in Minnesota) I would put two cost of the sealant.

And some OTC stuff I would use is: Meguiars Mirror Glaze #7 and finish it off with Meguiar's Hi-Tech Paste Wax #26.

GL with the car.

bah there both sealants. Commonly referred to as the "Klasse Twins" If you want good long protection I would look into the collonite waxs. On my car right now I have it as clayed polished with 106fa jetseal 109 and topped it with swissvax mystery.

nu finish is fine for a good, quick, cheap, easy to use coating. i use it regularly with no problems. it's easy on, easy off, and then i can do other things with the rest of my day. sure, it won't give an award winning shine, but i do not have a show car. i drive my car. i don't care about shows. i don't want to spend a ton of money. i have other things to do. so yes, nu finish is fine, depending on what you're looking for.

sorry, radekkacz07, didn't see your response. no, i don't really notice scratches any more with nufinish, but my car is silver and hides scratches very well. i used it on my old red rx-7, but again, i can't remember seeing any more/less scratches after nufinish. then again, that paint was really old and thin. if i didn't wax, the car would quickly turn matte orange. no chance on it lasting a whole year though! with any car i've ever used it on, it would last 2-3 months.
