First of gona introduce myself. Jake from middle tennesse area. This is my first post on the forum WOOT! I jus scooped up my first subby (02 impreza wagon) and love it. Wanted one for years and finally found one now that i got my tgv issues out of the way and its not limpin i started the new car check list. Spark plugs oil filter etc. decided to do trans and rear diff fluid for peace at mind and of corse run across uncle scottys cocktail. Just wanted to say plus 1 from me!! It shifts smooth as can be 1st and reverse feel better too. Went with the redline diff fluid too am pleased with both!

Bought my 02 wrx wagon about a month ago with 135k miles. Going through all regular maintenance items. Don't have any records. Came across uncle's cocktail, just ordered it from grimmspeed. Figured I should replace it. I'm having issues sometimes shifting into reverse when cold. Thanks!

Wow they sell the whole setup ready to go... Nice! Jus note that the most previos cocktail calls for heavyweight shockproof but lightweight is ok too

Yepp, Oaklandish sent me a PM telling me that it's lightweight in their kit. Bought some heavyweight on ebay for 16 bucks shipped. Easy swap.

Can't wait to try it.

ok mine is the type that does NOT have the pump. for those wondering, here's an exploded diagram: http://parts.glanzmann.com/showAssem...sembly=6027720

so you just pop the bottom pan/sump piece off and if your gearbox doesn't have that piece marked with the letter A, then you have a splash 'box.

It takes a few miles (at least for me with 95% highway at the limit and few shift cycles) to break in. But improved my poor ol' box noticeably. I waited too long to try it and regret it now.
