Default Gold Brembos on WRX --- rotor and bracket question

Today I had a vendor tell me that Brembo will not sell the individual rear rotors that allow you to use the Gold Brembos on my 2003 WRX. He said you have to buy the whole package or have proof of purchase of the package... That sounds like one huge line of BS, but I need to verify. Also where are people getting the best prices for all 4 rotors and the bracket?

Thanks,
Ted D.

brembo might be like that but there are 50 other manufacturers of rotors that are just as good.

true. It is basically just a hunk of metal anyway. I just found it odd that Brembo asks for proof of purchase of their kit before they will sell replacement rotors.

Search for KNS Brakes he will hook you up with rotors and he will release very soon a bracket for STI Brembos.

dba 4000 rotors - $300 for a pair
brembo oem rotors - $300 per side

that is what i was faced with when i wanted to replace my rotors.

dba makes a special rear rotor for the wrx to fit brembos.

This will work with standard STi brembo's and discs , and with the weak UK pounds makes it one of the most cost effective ways of fitting them available

I'm not sure how much 195 pounds equals in dollars, plus I don't feel comfortable spending however much it is on something from ebay that would be shipped from a different country. At least I don't think I would. Does anyone have any experience with this seller? Also, do you buy this kit then use standard 04 rotors or do you still have to have the special rotors? Do the special rotors work better than this kit (if you don't need the special rotors for the kit)?

If Its that kit... according to that you will be able to use 04 rotors, I do not have experience with that seller.

if you go onto scoobynet and check them out , Godspeed are one of the biggest names in euro subaru brake kits , have been for 10 years , this kit will enable you to use the standard discs and calipers , you dont need any special discs.
there are quite a few on here that have these kits fitted , they send quite a few kits per week to the US
