It really depends on what you are looking for( price, size, style, etc....). but ones i have used in the past that id recc. are arai's GP5 and HJC's AR-10. But those were kinda $$$$.

I'm lookin at the sub-$250 range. Summit Racing is right up the road and they carry a ****-ton of G-Force, Simpson, and Zamp. There's just so many to choose from there i have trouble making the decision.

Get the one that fits the best. With Summit right up the road it should be pretty easy to figure out too.

+1: Try it before you buy it.

I guess another question is, are you looking for open faced or a full helmet? I'm really happy with my G-Force Pro Phenom open faced. Though I do wish their "Modified" was around when I was buying helmets (The Hybrid was out of stock most places by then).

i have a full faced helmet, kinda regret it since you can see more easily with an open faced and they're lighter, just not as cool looking.

Bell S2R (got mine from ebay), saw it recommended in a similar thread and got one, I like the helmet except this little windscreen thingy under the visor broke off like the 3rd time I picked the helmet up

Go to a motorcycle store and try on different helmets. Sizes are different for each manufacturer, as well as virtually each model within a manufacturers product range. Find whatever is comfortable for you and make sure it has the necessary SNELL DOT markers on it. Buy online as it is almost always cheaper

I went with an open face helmet as it is more comfortable that a full face.

I hate a full face helmet for AX. Give my an open face ANY TIME. Besides, there may be safety concerns running a closed face helmet in a car with airbags (although setting off airbags SHOULD be a non-issue at an AX).

The Pyrotect Open Face is pretty popular (I have one,too and I like it).
