Default For all you gold wheeled subie owners out there.

just a quick question. recently my car was in a school car show. almost everybody that was into cars thought my Gold BBS sti wheels were totally sick. however, the ones that dont know much about cars thought it was wierd and tacky. "why do you have gold wheels?" they'd ask me. then they would laugh. just wondering if you guys get this kinda thing too.

and a quick pic of my car.

yah my gold wheels are gonna go soon...i love em in pictures, but in person they attract to much attention(away from other parts of the car as well)...silver would look so much nicer so i am gonna go silver or grey...

I disagree. I think silver looks the worse. The gold looks a lot nicer IMHO.

once in awhile i get comments like wtf is is with the gold, but nothing bad really. i get more slack over the pink (STi) i notice alot of icy hot stunnas loving them on the freeway , like "yo check da gold rims" kinda thing . i don't care, i like it. i'll prob stick with gold when i get 18's to. i used to not like them that much(but always hated the silver) but now every car i look at i think would look better with gold rims

I got that a ton when I had the '98 Gold RS wheels on my L...

But then again, it didnt look right since my car is a kind of teal color The gold made it look funky seagreen.

My parents, entire family, and gf all dislike the gold...so much so they convinced me to get the silver wheels. I regret the decision.

They just don't understand.

I get it all the f---ing time...I have a SRP bugeye with 18" Gold Rota Formula Mesh on...

people at my school (rich, private school, catholic kids...btw I'm not like them at all lol) say gold wheels are tacky what were you thinking...and I just ignore them or say it's a subaru trademark thing...I am one of the 1% (literally 1% or less) that likes cars at my school...pathetic huh

another kid came up to me today and asked if I got new wheels on my car...I said...the old ones were silver, and I bought these new bright gold ones 6 months ago

can people really not notice that much about cars...I can tell when someone comes in on Monday with a new tire...LOL

I also hate when people call my car a ricer...just because it has an ACTUAL (not just a tip) exhaust on it and makes noise...f--- them

I think I know the answer to this, but why a spoon? :-p

I definitely dig the gold. I almost chickened out, but it just seems so right. The only reaction I've gotten to them is a waitress at the Waffle House asked me where I got them.

So u have to know somewhat about cars to appreciate the gold BBS wheels???

It doesnt take someone to know something about cars to appreciate Gold BBS wheels. They can look at it, say it looks ugly (but that's their opinion) and that's their story. It doesnt take much to look at wheels and say that you don't like them.

Then they laughed: mwhahahahaah
