Search Japanparts.com under advanced search, select Subaru, Wheels category, specify "STI". You're welcome. |

Like I said in the OT thread. My dad has a 2010 Forester with the aforementioned automatic. My mom has a 2011 Rogue with AWD and CVT. Both of them get similar city milleage.

^Not sure how comparing two different vehicles with different transmissions relates.... lots of variables there. Is the point that a CVT in the Forester wouldn't improve its gas mileage?

Not sure what the refresh will bring to the table for the Forester. Fuel economy on par with the competition I guess?
Subaru is going to have three vehicles within 14" inches of each other in total length, and even closer in all other dimensions. Braking/steering/AWD systems are either the same/very similar. Same goes for engines and transmissions. After the increased interior dimensions of the past few years for all of the models that helped boost sales, curious what Subaru's next move is going to be. |

No, because I'd have to powdercoat them gold. Which I still have to do for my Weds. But my Weds were cheaper per corner. STOP TRYING TO MAKE ME DO IT.
(If shipping wasn't prohibitively expensive, I'd do it) back to the thread at hand: what are the new specs? New powertrain options/configurations? Sheet metal? Cmon. Daddy needs a winter car. |

18x7.5 Black Subaru BRZ STI wheels x 4 = $1,996.08 Shipping to the U.S. = $461.21 For $2,457.29 you can be exclusive. If everyone could buy them, everyone would have them. These ain't Rota GRIDS, son! These are The Real McCoy! On-Topic: The BrendaPritty shots of the 2014 Forester showed 4G Impreza sidemirrors. I do not like those. In fact, the side mirrors are the ONLY thing I hate about the new Impreza. They should at least be sportier-looking, like the BRZ's. |

The early 2013 Forester cut off deadline could also mean an extended pause in Forester production in order to allow XV Crosstrek sales to ramp up quicker.

I wouldn't doubt that since we have 51 Foresters due early next month. That would last us at least till the end of the year, if not till the 2014s. I don't think we have ever got 51 Foresters in 3 or 4 months before.

Wait... I must be slow... Essentially the 2013 Crosstrek is replacing the 2009-2013 Forester concerning size and utility? And the 2014 Forester will be the next level up? I never even thought of it that way before...

No problems with 4EAT in our '09 F-XT. Works as advertised.
Drove a Ford Fusion for a few days, (yuck!), a week ago. Had a 6-speed auto. It was not smooth. Spent a lot of time searching for gears, when accelerating from a cruising speed. Nice thing about the 4EAT, there aren't many gears to search for, and it shifts very quickly. Got no complaints about it, after 4 years of ownership. |

The need for more gears is for better MPG, which the Forester is lagging behind in. Do a 5-6spd auto + direct injection n now we're talkin'. The wife has been ready for a new rig for over a year now and wants a Forester - I wanna wait for the '14 and I'm hoping I'm not waiting for no reason. This thing will see a TON of miles, so MPG is actually a concern.

This. Our Forester allocation is verging on silly right now.

The wheels are just as visually busy as the stock wheels. Radial-design many-thin-spokes wheels all start to look like the same turbine style wheels... and with a flat disk face they are kind of boring. Black even moreso, because it hides the design, and makes the wheels and wheel wells look like dark holes in the bodywork.
The exhaust, however is on the edge of comically big for a 2.0 liter engine... but they fit the bumper cover very well... and the under-tray looks great, too. If those nice big pipes sang a nice true-dual-exhaust H6 firing order song... that would be very compelling. But I would still go with simpler, sportier wheels. 5 or 7 spoke maximum, and staggered width, possibly even staggered diameter. No AWD means no-care about different rolling diameter. |

That looks like the aftermarket exhaust. Looks good to me. I wonder if Yamaha had anything to do with the sound of that exhaust. |

I agree. I'm actually looking at the Sparco RTT524 wheels. The less busy the wheel is the easier it is to clean them. That exhaust looks like the STI Sports Muffler Axleback Exhaust. I like it. For me it's mostly about how deep of a growl can be extracted. It's a high compression NA 2.0 Boxer, so it's not going to sound the same as the current 2.5 turbocharged Boxer, but some exhausts have gotten close. On-Topic: The order cut-off wasn't given very much heads-up. I guess they're just doing people a favor since the new Forester should only be better. |

No they don't, you cray. I was looking at those wheels for a while, though. Overly heavy and everyone has them. I'm trying for wheels that not everyone is going for.
The new Forester will most likely look more mainstream. From what I've observed of your posts over the years, I don't think you're going to like it, but you'll give it a fair shot. |

My 4EAT WRX does very well...then again I guess we're talking about strictly Foresters here.
