dude i'm almost certain that thats not stock, at least not from the way they talk about it on that page... looks like a tuner has already gotten ahold of a couple and probably dropped a good bit of cash into 'em.... u ain't got nuthin to worry about bro.

If TurboXS can do 11's in a regular 02 WRX, imagine what an STi with bigger displacement is capable of.

Take a look at that [big] video and see what STi can do. Towards the end, it kicks EVO's ass in a race. After watching that video, I must admit that Subaru has created a monster...

That was stock vs stock and the STi won. He is probably referring to the fact that someone has already added 50hp to the evo with only minor mods. This was one of my concerns also.

How much easier will the 4G63 motor to upgrade than the EJ25(?) in the new STi. The 4G63 has been a proven motor that can get upwards of 600hp out of it.

Only time will tell. We will see who is the most common car to win in a race Auto X or drag.

Any car can have massive hp if you throw enough money at it. I want to know which car will get you the most bang for the buck.

JUN WRX already have 600HP with a stroker kit, 2.0L into a 2.5L, so this engine can be very powerful !

If you want the fastest vehicle on the road, save those pennies for a McLaren F1. Other than that, there's always going to be something faster. Get the STi because you WANT the STi, not because you care that anything is faster. Caring that something is faster is the sure path to eternal unhappiness with whatever you drive.

SCC tested the EVO and pulled a 13.3 out of it stock... If I remember correctly. What's this video you all are talking about?

Hey, there are tuners that can pull 12's out of a Miata, a K-car, whatever you want to do, some very cheap.

So just email them and ask them what these 12's really cost and find out if it is comparable to tuning you could do on a WRX or STI for the same buck. Then find out Mitsu's mod policy and see how receptive they are. Even if you are considering the Evo, I would say to hold off a bit and see what comes down the tuning line. There may be something else that comes up, bang-buck-wise, that will make this look obsolete. Like what Vishnu did for the Stage-0. This made people real happy for a while. You never know.
