well i've done the goodridge stainless lines (and stock pads) and it was definately a worthwhile mod. Brakes feel much firmer.
Can't wait to upgrade the pads. You might also want to check out carbotech pads, they are supposed to be great.

How was the install with the Goodrich lines? I hear that the Stoptechs are easier to install due to their quality over Goodrich. I think I remember hearing that anyway.

I didn't install them, and as far as quality i've never seen the stoptechs so have nothing to compare to. They do seem very good though and think the price difference far outweighs any slight advantage the stoptechs might have. Besides, I have not heard of any problems with the goodrich lines, and TONS of people have been using them for quite some time.

Did both the Axxis ultimate pads and stoptech lines with ATE fluid. Only negative on the pads is that they dust a lot. Great customer service from Stoptech, Matt Weiss is the guy to talk to over there.

JasonCSU, most of the negative talk about the Goodrich lines IIRC ended up being vendors selling the wrong lines from an older model either because they thought they were the same application or trying to get rid of old stock. I've heard conflicting reports about if the Goodrich lines have a protective polymer coating on top of the steel braid, but I can confirm that the Stoptech lines have the protective coating.

I've got the Stoptech Stage 1(Ultimates, lines, fluid) and like it quite a bit, especially combined with the upgraded Legacy rear brakes. The Ultimates do dust a bit, but its pretty easy to clean off, and they don't squeal one bit. That said they do have a fairly sudden bite and not very good modulation, though still much better than stock. I'll probably try out the Carbotech Bobcats next go around. The lines are every bit as good as everyone says, too. The Motul RBF600 has also held up very well, never giving a hint of boiling even with "aggressive" canyon carving and a few very high speed AutoX events.

I had the Stoptech Stage 1 kit on my 2002 WRX and I was very happy with it. Yes the pads do dust, but no worse than my STI does. I actually liked the initial bite and the pedal feel was greatly improved. I highly recommend this setup for the $.
