That is a nice setup coldsoda, do you use the DI water for everything or do you use it just for the rinsing? I notice you have some valving so you can bypass.
Can you use any water softener tank? do you use it as is or does it have to be modified?
I am just getting my feet wet, some tech would be greatly appreciated, thanks, James.

Thanks. I typically use the DI water for the full wash as our water here in Phoenix is really bad... 750+ TDS most days. I bypass and use regular water for friends that need a wash, but won't notice the difference (and don't have well maintained paint)... lol. This resin tank was supplied by a company that services my address and just swaps out the tank when the resin is used up in this one. I realize that isn't available in much of the country, where regular standard 20" resin tanks discussed earlier in this thread will suffice.

I finally finished my portable DI system, I have not tested it yet. It would be nice if some of you water pro's could chime in and critique my rig, thank you, james.

But unfortunately I cant seem to post pics ...... that sucks!

I tried to keep all the parts plastic does it add to the ppm's if they are metal parts? Please critique if you see any improvements that could be make, thank you, James.

My water is 230 PPM coming in and the PH is 8.0 Does anyone have a recommendation for a non carbon filter that is 3/4" in 3/4" out
I have a RV style filter that has carbon and I am afraid it will add water spots.
