![]() Thinking my PCV valve is clogged or stuck based on how my car behaving right meow. Is the v7 PCV valve the same as the 02/03 USDM 205? Or is there a specific JDM part number I need to find?

![]() I'm leaning towards swapping EJ207 into my 2005 WRX. I've considered short-block builds but would prefer to avoid the long break-in period since the car is mainly used for RallyX.
Is there anything I should be aware of when looking at V7 engines? They're getting up in age and inventory is low but I think they're more reliable than EJ205 swap for my needs. I'm open to any suggestions! |

![]() Choose wisely, do you already have a good turbo and turbo back exhaust you want to continue to use or are you looking for an all new setup ?
Do you have an Accessport you want or need to continue using or do you want to run on a jdm ecu with functional avcs and open source tuning ? Are you setting up a street/track car or street only, track only ? The direction you need to take is based on many considerations, including budget. |

![]() Hello!
I recently completed dropping in a used V7 EJ207 into my 2004 WRX. I have been following this EJ207 info thread which has been amazing help! I'm getting ready to start up the car. But before I do, I wanted to make sure the Neutral Safety Switch had the correct polarity. I'm a little confused on how to do this, and how to change the polarity if I end up needing to. I haven't used Romraider before. Is Romraider the only method to check the polarity? My thoughts are that I'm overthinking this polarity thing and that all I have to do is cut the wires and just swap the wires around. ![]() More info: - Manual 5 speed - AVCS wiring is installed - The car has a remote start installed.* (Im assuming this affects things) |

![]() My understanding from what I remember from back in the day is NSS is reverse vs usdm. But everything else is the same.

![]() Have your tuner change it, that’s what I did because like you, I couldn’t do it myself.

![]() You should be able to hex edit the ROM. This dependent on the ROM you are using. I did it for mine, v9 spec c into 2004 wrx 5mt. If I recall Romraider doesn't have a toggle for it hence the hex edit. Also, I think the problem is a NO vs NC thing, not polarity. If it was me I wouldn't cut or depin anything you can do with a simple rom edit.
Start here and search for NPS on the Romraider forums: https://www.romraider.com/forum/view...p?f=15&t=10794 Last edited by NewSilverWRX; 05-21-2022 at 02:56 AM. |

![]() Thanks guys! I’ll see if I can do it my self… I’ll need to get a tractixs cable and RomRaider. Then learn how to use it because I’ve never used it before! Lol. But regardless I should learn how to use RomRiader since my Cobb won’t work with the ecu anyways.
