Has anyone had this issue before? I was driving home treating her right (heavy pedal) and then calmed in the city. I was at a light and when I went to take off in 1st gear I stalled like a goof and she wouldn't start up until after 5 to 10 cranks. After I tried those I took the keys out for a period of time (not long) and then tried again after I plugged in my AP to read the code from my CHECK ENGINE light (Solid) and CRUISE light (Flashing) being on and she started right up. I drove her home after resetting the ECU and everything seems to be fine. I didn't want to do much driving and I will wait for tomorrow to see if anything happens again.

My opinion is I think I freaked the ECU out from the stall. Any opinions? I read up on it but there seems to be very little talk about this CEL on the forums. Not too worried about it just waiting for tomorrow to see what happens.........

BUMP!
have you done any recent modifications? maybe a bad sensor?

No modifications that required sensor replacement. Still no issues today so I think I am fine. Most forums have very little information about this, so I'm not too worried about it. Would still like to hear other opinions.

I'm liking all of this activity in the thread, gives me hope. So when are we all hitting the 'Ring? Or how about a meet sometime soon? Also, I still have your headers wrxfr3ak227, lol.

Had a question for all of you that have been in Germany for longer than I (which is most of you I think): Where is a good place to try out some aftermarket seats? I need something that's got a bit more grip than my super-wide USDM STi seats. I was sliding all over at SPA.

Not sure where you are at, but there is a place in Kaiserslautern near the Opel circle that is able to get recaro's and corbeau's, and have a few up for display and try them out. The name of the place is Schaffer's (pretty sure it spelled wrong).

You can also try talking to Christian at DC Autoservice about seats. You might be able to order STi wrapped Recaro's (JDM) like me! We can get together about the headers sometime after I return from the field!

Did you order while here in Germany? I have gone thru 2 ebay lips. One was my vault by forgetting to back in to my garage and tore it in half. The other i had to take off cause of snow and being too low.

Biggest issue is getting it shipping to APO. I think bayson r told me no about 3 years ago. The one vender that did ship had to fold the last foot of the lip and i used a heat gun( blow dryer) to striaghten back out and smooth the crease. I rather get a proper front lip that added true down force without flexes all over the place

That I don't know. I ordered it from here but shipped to my moms house (where the car was) and it shipped in the car along with many other parts like my coilovers, bushings etc. We paid for a container. Worst case scenario you can ship to a family member stateside and have them ship here.

I used about 3-4 stacks of DVDs as a base for the mounting points and various heavy objects like a case of beer, a poker chip set and something else to straighten my lip in the late summers heat.

I am down for the 19th but I would have to get Staff Duty off that weekend. My birthday is that weekend so it sounds good to me! Anyone else?

I'm in. I have some laps I need to use up....to be honest, I got a little scared after I spun my STi on Hohe Acht and needed new bumpers. Almost needed a new frame. All in the past though, I know of two other Subies that may be game for it. So yeah, count me in.

NURBURGRING CLOSED ON THE WEEKEND OF THE 19TH!!!

Below are the dates for the Ring! Brranger has informed me that they are not open the weekend of the 19th, lets plan for a different date. Lets plan for the first BIG meet on the weekend of the 26th and 27th! I think this is the best for everyone being that it is going to be a four day. What do you guys think? Its more than 20 days away, should be plenty of time to plan.
