I have just bought two vintage Seiko so my discretionary funds are at a bit of a lull, but for those of you looking for a nice Seiko navigator timer GMT, this price is very fair for a nice example and I thought I should post it in here...

https://forums.watchuseek.com/f29/fs...a-4842831.html

Rare to see one under $1k in such good shape, and if I was not trying to be thrifty right now I would probably pick this one up.

Scrappy... Can you buy it so that I can rebuy it off you later?

For those keeping track of my addiction here is the current Seiko collection.

When you posted about a gold turtle I was like wut!?! But that looks really nice. And cool Seiko collection.

It's a C7 rapide chronograph. Lume is superluminova c1, not the longest lasting, but I love that color. I've been looking for a nice panda, and I love my other CW. The hands and markers are all faceted, and really catch the light.

Sporty! Looks like it would pair well in the pits at an F1 race.

I’ve been wearing an iWatch on a $13 leather amazon strap for a couple weeks now. Kind of digging the change.

Sales associate at Belk was wearing a GMT Master. He said it was a "GMT 1" but it looked like the pictured below. He bought it over 20 years ago and he has more Rolexs in his collection that are just as old

I really love that watch. Very nice Rolex. Probably the one I would pick up given the chance.

It'll look like that but without the "II".

The difference is the hour hand isn't independently adjustable, so the 24 hour hand just follows your day and you can only move the bezel to follow another time zone. The GMT II hour hand can move independently so you can track three time zones. But they basically look the same.

^^ That is correct.

The GMT II is more desireable to me because you set home time to the GMT hand, and you can hop the 12 hour hand forward and backward (including rolling the date) as you pass through different time zones on your travels. The obvious benefit of this is that you can reset the local time without disrupting the second hand therefor maintaining accurate timekeeping and not having to reset the watch each time. Pretty dang cool IMO.

I wish. That Calibre SH21 is awesome with 120 hours of power reserve. My C7 is powered by a much less interesting Ronda 5021.D quartz movement.

Wow!!

That is epic

My question

Did any of the legendary watches fail to impress and were you impressed by any watches that you did not expect to like?

Bonus question :

Did you learn anything about your watch self

So I can definitely say I like the standard Daytona dials better than the exotics and much prefer the screw down pushers over the pump pushers.

The 3970 wore way smaller than expected, looked a lot better on my girlfriends wrist.

Only bad thing about seeing them there was the lighting wasnít the best.

Also got to try on the new Pepsi and can say I still like the 5 digit more.

And some other stuff. Forgive me for the crappy pics, bad lighting + open bar wasnít helping my mediocre camera skills
