Hate to say I had a similar thing happen to me. Walked up to my car from behind last week and saw this:

Someone decided to clean the pine needles off of their boot using my hatch...

I'm looking for a clean WRB hatch if anyone's got one in the chicagoland area!

You could pull that out pretty easily. Idk if you can get in to it from the inside, but if you can, heat it up and massage it from inside... Or hot glue/pull it.

Get a can of compressed air. Turn it upside down and spray it all over the dent. Let it frost up. Then immediately after that put a hot hair dryer or heat gun to it. It will pop itself out.

^^^^This could actually work. Ive heard of some body shops using dry ice to pop dents out. You'd be amazed at how much shape memory metal has.

It does work. I have done it my self on my other car and also on 2 of my friends cars. Sometimes you have to do it 2 or 3 times but it works. It doesn't work on small dents really like quarter sized and won't work if the metal is creased. But big dents like that it works like a champ and doesn't destroy the paint. After I seen this method I threw out my "Ding King" because the hot glue is a pain in the ass to work with and it gets stringy and all over the place.

At least from my own personal experience.

I have a dent just like that in my hatch. I popped it out and several days later leaned on it again...fuuuuu. So I left it alone

If you look the top of the dent is right on the sharpest bend of the hatch. It's a pretty decent crease but many people have suggested the hairdryer trick. I may take a whack at it and try not to let you all down.

But still, if anyone has a WRB hatch send me a PM, I might still be in the market for one.

i used to like the simplicity. but i'm always the weird one that had to change things every now and then, just like my crazy oil cooler days. I feel like atleast once in my life time i gotta have a crazy looking car.

probably in janurary when i properly build a real splitter. I'm just saving for a Prodrive lip or style atleast and build the splitter from that.
