Exclamation Upholstery gone bad

Alright.....i'm putting these guys on blast. Here it goes.

Again, this is exactly why i do everything myself on my car....this time...it had to deal with upholstery, which i know nothing about, so I had some "professionals" do it. Door panels, headliner, boots, arm rest...pretty easy ****...right? Nope. not for these kindergardeners. I opened my car and it looked like a class of kindergardeners went to town on this project. Glue on everything, jagged cuts frayed edges...a mess. SO, i ask for my money back because of this BEYOND ****TY job (I'm being nice here) and they look at the car for 30 minutes trying to tell me there is nothing wrong with the job. Finally get my money back and they leave, I look at the money and they gave me 100 bucks less than what i paid them. Haha....really cool guys, now you're stealing money. Great business. Look, if you feel like you put in a lot of effort and time and felt like you deserved 100 bucks outta the whole thing fine! ****in say that **** don't just take it. Shady mother ****ers..... Here's the best part.... I rip all the **** outta my car last night because now i gotta fix their ROYAL **** up and they drew a picture of a dick on my headliner.
So let me get this straight....not only do you tag/damage someones property, do a ****TY job, and take money.......oh wait...and you are in the Air Force? great representation guys. Cheers

This reminds me of Superbad. Was Seth (Jonah Hill) the one that fixed your headliner? Anyway, sorry man. That really blows, literally

So, they drew a dick on the headliner BEFORE they put things all together? Hmmm, makes me wonder just how much of a dick you were before they started things. Maybe that's why you got such a lousy job. Karma, baby.

Ha? First of all, I'm a chick, and no, I wasn't a dick about anything ... Especially before they started. If anything I was too nice. Just them being dicks.

Sounds to me they tried to take advantage of you because you were a woman. Lawyer up, put them in small claims, and get them to replace everything and give you a full refund.

The end.

Get a lawyer. Get money. Get a sweet interior job done from somewhere else.

And oh yeah, sue for emotional damage caused by finding a giant hairy dick in your car.

This small claims court thing is expensive and a pain in the ass. I'd just take that part in, show them what you found, ask if they did this because you're a girl, tell them you find it offensive and you're considering filing a police report for criminal damage to property, and demand your $100 back. I have a very good feeling they will produce the remaining money. Then, you can go on with your life having learned a very valuable lesson.

Small claims court will take months and hundreds of dollars you may or may not get back. These guys are clearly ignorant. I'd just do as I described above and get on with it. It wouldn't hurt to bring in a male witness with you while you do this. You do all the talking. As pissed as you rightfully are, don't be confrontational. Just lay it out as it is.

On a more realistic note, do this.

How do you put somebody on blast without mentioning their names, or the name of the shop?

In all reality, what he said is correct, and could be used in your advantage.

Unless you know any lawyers personally, small claims would be more costly of your time and money. Unless you were willing to shill that out to bring them down.
Although there are plenty of lawyers that would hear you out, and only charge you money if there was to be some sort of payout, so it may still be worth it to look into it. Like others said, i would get them to replace EVERYTHING they touched for doing such poor craftsmanship. The fact that they drew that on your headliner could absolutely be used to your advantage. Because you are a female, that drawing could be used as sexual harrassment. I could be wrong, but i dont believe i am.
If anything else, you could always use it as a scare tactic by making them believe you could take them to court because of the drawing. Although they could always say, it was already there, so you would somehow have to prove otherwise. goodluck to ya
