Dyno Tune: Motion Lab Tuning Makes 264whp On A '02 WRX TD04 + 2.5L w/STi Cams
Event: Dyno Tune
Location: Motion Lab Tuning (Charlotte, NC) Ambient Temp: 40 F Elevation: 900 ft. ASL Weather: Cloudy / Rainy Track and Conditions: N/A Tires: Unknown Car: 2002 Subaru Impreza WRX Tuner: Todd @ Motion Lab Tuning Dyno Info: Mustang 500 Peak HP at RPM: 264whp @ 4650rpm (SAE Corrected) Peak Torque at RPM: 343ft.lbs @ 3550rpm (SAE Corrected) Baseline hp/tq for a stock on same dyno: 180whp stock WRX Target Boost: 21psi tapering to 11 psi Target AFR: 11.8:1 Fuel: 93 octane unleaded Engine/Power Modifications: 2.5L block, STi cams in 2.0L heads, '08 STi oil pump, Invidia 3'' TBE, Deleted / Ported TGV's, Stock in-take w/ K&N drop-in filter, Venair intercooler hose kit, Grimmspeed 3 port EBCS Driveline Modifications: ACT heavy duty street clutch kit & resurfaced flywheel Suspension Modifications: SPT Springs Other Modifications: N/A Yep. Baseline was run on a Cobb Stage 2 map (lower dashed lines). Our highest recorded run was 264whp 343wtrq but we didn't manage to save it. Anyway, the one below isn't too far off from our high numbers. I will say that this was one of the best instances of a Cobb OTS map I had seen before. It actually ran a nice AFR all the way through. Normally they're really overly rich from my observations. This set up was completely maxed out in terms of injector IDCs and turbo capacity. It has nothing left in it. When we saw the wheel torque get close to 350 the we were all pretty impressed. Last edited by Motion Lab Tuning; 02-09-2010 at 02:20 PM. Reason: Redo Format |
