This is my favorite! I so wish my car was some sort of shop car for this reason (and several others). Unfortunately a modded/built STi does not really fit in with a family office business plan...

PS, check this out for your seats. it was the best option i found for protecting the seats. just ordered their kick mats too now that my daughters feet are on the back of the seat when she's in her recaro

Took a quick shot before the Halloween guests showed up. Not much going on this past week except being a dad, it's definitely a full time job

Just too a look at the link, for the price, it looks nice.
Think it'll be okay with leather? Looks like it may be abrasive.

The seat mat is like the foamy shelf liner stuff but less textured. Works great as a protective and somewhat grippy surface. We'll worth it for me.

The kick thing is cordura I think, haven't checked it out yet. I'll probably put something (poly?) between it and the seat back

Found a new photo spot somewhere in the woods near my house. Not sure what this building is for but it hasn't been open in a long time. No posted signs anywhere so I too a few quick shots and left.

Polarizer.

I like the new spot, but I'm not a fan of the ones where it's parked on grass.

Total props to Process West for coming through on a promise!
Three years later going way over the top to keep a loyal customer happy. I'm proud I made the choice to go with them and look forward to working with them on a future project of mine.

New intercooler straight from Australia.

Out with the old and in with the new:

Something like that, lol
It was delivered by a donkey and an old postal carrier from the 1920's. Surprised the box was in such good shape.

The core was on back order from the manufacture. They do the welding on the end-tanks and the final coating but the core comes from an extrusion company. It was made around 11/7 and delivered on Monday.

Did ProcessWest come out with a new intercooler or did you just feel a need for change?

I had an issue with my previous intercooler where it was leaking from a pinhole on the bottom. I was never sure how long it's been there but I found out after I accidentally overfilled my oil by a little bit and was getting blow-by of oil residue in the piping. Once the oil made it's way into the intercooler, it found the pinhole and started to drip onto the turbo heat shield.

The hole must have been extremely small. My vacuum readings never changed after the new intercooler went on and are still reading a healthy 22 on idle.

The intercooler is 3 years old and when I contacted Process West about the issue, no questions asked they sent me a brand new core from Australia.

Now I have two

Still looking great as always. I am getting my 2015 Golf R in Feb and was wondering if you would be interested in possibly doing the headlights for me. I know this is a new car and not a Subby but didn't know if they are all somewhat the same to take apart and paint.

As always car looks great and I do miss mine at times.

Today I had a few extra minutes between projects at home to tackle an addition to my mirrors. I purchased the STi side marker blinkers a while back but was waiting on picking up the mirror covers and to have them painted. Due to being too busy for my own good, I never got around to buying the covers, let alone paint them.

I did however grow enough balls to take out my Dremmel and cut up my OEM mirror covers to fit the STi markers.

On the 2011 limited (maybe base and premium too) have the wiring already inside the door for the blinker so there wasn't a need to do a big write-up on how to wire them. I simply extended the two wires and ran them out to the mirror and plugged them into the light after adding small female spade connectors.

I think the covers came out great and no one would ever know I cut them if I never said anything.

Here are a few of the completed shots inside the garage. Maybe I'll take more tomorrow.

Cheers!

- Jason

That looks excellent. Great job as usual.

I don't understand why the WRX doesn't have these standard.

Top notch work as always. Are the 2.5i mirror and the WRX mirror the same?

I realize after some research this was a very stupid question. I was mainly getting at whether or not there was the same structure to the mirrors. Allowing the wires to be run and the makers to be bolted up.
