Default Whos got an 04 rear bumper with the 03/03 OEM rear skirt?

Well, i just recently picked up some 04 taillights. They look sooo much better than my stockers! I was about to get the OEM rear skirt/diffuser looking piece. However, my bumper has a whole bunch of scatches on it and I wanted to replace it before I did the skirt. Since Im doing this, I was just gonna pick up an 04 rear bumper..

How can you mod the 04 bumper to fit the 02/03 rear underspoiler?
How does it look?
Am I better off just getting an 02/03 rear bumper and calling it a day??
Thanks
Neel

It's easier modding an 02-03 bumper to fit the little bubble in the 04 tallights than it is to fit 04 bumper with an 02-03 rear lip.

PM DieselClown and jimtweet

Diesel did the 02-03 rear lip on an 04 sedan bumper
jimtweet did it by swapping an 02-03 bumper onto this 04

I would definitely vote for an 02-03 bumper and just mod it to fit the lights - it will be way easier and cheaper in the end.

What's involved in modding the rear bumper to fit the lights? Drilling away a bit of the top of the bumper?

the holes have to be cut out for the 04 tails, the bumper brackets need to be modded slightly, and you have to get longer bolts and washers to space the bumper out so it lines up, and holes need to be redrilled where the push things go...

Note that that's only if you want to put an 02-03 bumper ON an 04+. IF you already have an 02-03, just cut the bumper to fit the bubbles and toss in the 04 tails.

yeah go with the 02-03 bumper. I'm about to just get a CS V2 rear bumper as soon as I source one. It's becoming a headache for me. if you look closely at this pic..I dont have them lined up exactly straight.
