High mileage wrx question.
Hello all. My current car is a 2004 wrx, with 101,xxx on the clock. I'm scheduled to do the timing belt within the next two weeks, and all maintenance is up to date. Recently ive been thinking about upgrading to a newer wrx, so my question is to all high mileage wrx owners, how are these cars holding up at high mileage? Is this car going to last another 100,000 miles with basic mod's (turboback, stg 2, running 16psi boost) or would it be worth it to upgrade?
Thanks guys -Eric

If you keep up the required maintenance and not totally trash the car it should last... My '02 wrx now has 279,500KMs+/174,500Miles+ and still going strong. Still have stock engine, turbo and trany with nothing ever done to them.

I'm not quite as high, but I'm at 240 000km/148 000miles and I have no issues to report as well, I'm actually on my original clutch. I've tracked the car, used it for rallyx and autox, lapping days etc... The WRX IMO is a tough car. For power mods I'm running stage 2. The only thing that I had to replace was a bad CV, and some consumables (struts, tires, brake rotors/pads etc). |

Thanks for the re-assurance guys. Really what i needed to hear right now. I'm actually thinking about doing a motor swap, if i can find one for a reasonable price.
