Where is the best place to put jackstands to support the rear of a WRX?

I don't remember right off the top of my head where I put mine.... Just find a nice stable and solid point on the frame to put them... It's not rocket science, but give the car a good shake before you crawl under it to make sure it's stable. =)

silly answer..under your car...

no seriously, there are flat plates near the factory jack points
where you could place the jack stand..

anyone else got a suggestion?

I put mine on the "jack point".

Just in front of the tire, behind the side skirt. Opposite of the front.

Thanks guys.

I usually use the "jack points" for the jack itself. Never considered using those for the stands. I don't feel comfortable jacking it up from the rear diff... guess it's pretty solid, but...

BriDrive, the scoobymods post helped. The picture was exactly what I needed. I assume these are the "flat plates" jaxscuby was referring to.

wouldn't that bend the flat plate that holds the rear crossmember?
