Default Injectors seated all the way?

I just had my injectors serviced at deatschwerks and now am reinstalling them. I put the bracket on and tightened it down but I can see a little of the top o ring still. These are pe 850 injectors. Are they tight enough? I tried tapping with a hammer to seat further but don't move. The metal lip of injector isn't touching the rail.

Hi Chris, are these top feed or side feed injectors that you are using on your car? I'll be happy to try and help but I just want to make sure I understand what we're looking at here.

Hi Chris, its hard to see in your photo so I'm not positive, but I did find this photo which should be a good representation of how the injectors look installed. I don't think there should be any of the o-ring showing but since we don't deal with side feed injectors often hopefully someone else can come in and confirm this info.

I see no bracket installed in that pic, can you still see the o-ring with the bracket installed? How much compared to that pic? Did you lube up the o-rings before installing the injectors?

That gap seems fine, mine always pop up a bit when I remove the brackets, just enough to get a flathead screwdriver under the metal lip. Just make sure the o-rings are seated properly, it's very easy to tear an o-ring during install and hydrolock the engine with fuel on the side feeds.

So is it safe to try it? I'm just worried fuel coming out the gap and starting on fire. Is that possible?

Connect the green test connectors under the dash and turn the key on but don't start the car. The fuel pump will cycle on/off indefinitely. Then you can walk to the engine bay and look/listen to all of the injectors and fuel connections to make sure none of them leak. This won't let you pressure test the fuel system to the full ~65 psi that you get at WOT, but you can at least get to ~45 psi.
