Default Central IL (peoria) subaru scene?

Hey guys, just moved to central IL from St. Louis, MO. I've noticed a ton of subarus here, mostly 08+ wrx/sti's. I've seen upwards of 20, and only 1 gave me the subie wave.. So, if you're in the area, hit me with a PM!

My condolences with moving here. Peoria is mostly the armpit of Illinois......East StL is the ******* of IL. Are you going to Bradley or working up here?

I didn't think there were that many 08+ cars running around up here. I'm in the white '12 hatchback...to my knowledge, I'm the only one in town. What's your car? That way when I see you, I'll make sure you feel welcome.

Hey guys,

I have been living in Peoria as a teacher for almost two years and I drive a WR Blue 2010 WRX sedan. Would you guys have any insight on where we could go to get a dyno tune that isn't more than an hour away?

I'm from Bloomington but work everyday in peoria. I just sold my 2011 WRX for a commuter car. I still catch myself waving to Subarus tho. Keep an eye out for a 2011 DGM with an STI wing and gold stock rims. I'd love to find out who bought Ramses.

You won't find an AWD dyno within an hour's drive of Peoria. There are several in the Chicago area though with experience tuning Subarus. A good tune is more than worth that drive.

Or you could find someone to do an e-tune for you. That's what I did, very happy with the results.

so R&T Unlimited doesn't Dyno or Tune cars? They have a dyno, not sure if it's AWD but it's in peoria so worth a shot to look at.

I've never heard of them. If they have a dyno, I would imagine they do dyno tunes...but unless it's a very well kept secret, it's not an AWD dyno.

It was kind of hidden, off pioneer park way I think. I took my z28 there but that was like 8yrs ago. They only had a 2wd dyno at the time.

I know this is an old post, but any BloNo Subaru peeps out there? I see a few around town, so I thought I'd give it a shot.

I'm in Springfield, all by my lonesome. I must say though, I've seen quite a few new WRXs roaming around.
