Our new wheel is called the Awesome. It's 17x9 +42 and fits ALL recent-vintage Subarus, since it's got both 5x100 and 5x114 bolt patterns in it. It's only 17.8 pounds!

These are due to arrive in volume sometime next month, but the first article is here and you can come by and see and touch it. If you're nice to us like siopao2000, we might even test-fit it on your car.

Check out the
Mach V Awesome wheel page

Or stop by the shop and take a look...

Rear wheel is photo-chopped on.

It's like it, but wasn't modeled after it.

1. Put wheel on turntable.
2. Apply abrasive to lip.
3. Polished lip!

I agree - 18"s and you'd have even more of a winner. Though I'd imagine much of the focus would be on a good autocross wheel, am I correct? Since they appear to clear the STi Brembos...

EDIT: Gave you some props over in old-school world.

Okay, okay, I GET it!

I gotta sell some of the 17's first, before we can build the 18" versions. We'll do it in time, though.

Ha, I just think that most people are buying 18"s now, that's all. But 17"s are ideal for auto-x I would imagine, especially these since they clear Brembos! (And as such, probably some other BBKs.)

have you compared the price difference between 255/35/18 and 255/40/17 tires? Its big enough to make me never want 18s, unless i HAVE to have them to fit a BBK.

The 235s that I have on the Boosts are Dunlop StarSpecs.

The 255 on the test wheel is a Pirelli Asimmetrico. I forgot the exact model and it is fairly worn out.
