Its the new one. The old idlers were pretty rough. ESP the smallest one on the right near the tensioner.

I figured as much. I could hear one raising hell when I started the engine cold. If you haven't thrown the old parts away yet, please put them back in the box. I'd like to see them.

Anyone heard what sort of winter we are supposed to have this year in Central VA? Debating to either buy summer tires for the RPF1s and just throw them on for the winter and not drive if it snows, or to buy some General Altimax Artics now for the stockers and hold out to get summer tires and drop the car around March.

I hear we are supposed to get quite a but of snow according to some reports I have seen and heard. How reliable that is I don't know. What size rpf1's did you get ?

I heard the same story, but like J said, how reliable can it possibly be? Doesn't matter, I've got Tim's old stockers wrapped in snow rubber!

No need for wheels since I will have the RPF1s as dedicated summers so I can just use the stockers. Got them in18x9.5 +38...Should be here next month! Leaning towards just getting summers and throwing them on as I am the most impatient person in the world, but we'll see when I get back.

i just slum through winter on my all-seasons. unless you run something like the blizak LM-60 which are winter tread pattern but all-season compound you'll destroy soft winter tires on our dry roads.

those LM60 would be my top choice for around here for a winter setup. i just don't have the cash for it.

I probably would have rocked my 18s with Nexan N3000s during the winter, but I later found out that that specific tire performs awfully whenever it's below 32 degrees - absolutely no grip. At least it gives me time to refinish the Tarmac 2s

It's amazing what you can pick up for cheap off craigslist, I think I got that whole winter setup for like 200 buckeroonies of another Subaru guy

I was looking at the LM-60s, but then found the General Articmax'. They had better reviews and are over $100 cheaper.

it doesn't cost any less. he just gets credit for the sale. AD motorsports has an account with them and might be able to get you a few bucks off, but not much.
