It's that time of year again! Time for Granny to get some sleep while she gets some beef! As most of you know, I have been collecting motors and all sorts of crap to do another project. Here is what I got so far.

I bought a WRX motor along with a NA 2.5 block.

I also bought a 92 Legacy Turbo which I pulled the motor out of.

So here's my plans. I am going to build the EJ22t into a 2.36L using forged internals and a 79mm billet crankshaft. For heads I'm planning on using the WRX 2.0 heads with 272 cams. I will try my best to keep this thread updated like last years build but this will cost more money and more time so updates will be a little more spread out.

this will be a cool build, id wish someone would build one of these with a 75mm crossdrilled wrx crank, it will idle smoother and rev out higher. should be fun though.

It wont have a lot of load on it this winter because of the ice. Will be looking for a 2.5 five speed this spring though.

Any reason why? Looking to do this soon and want to try doing the splitter too, mostly to make it look more factory.

I just didn't have one so I left it. You could put one on easily enough.

vvvv I agree with this guy. If you want the factory look get a turbo hood or do a fmic.

Yeaaa if only it were that easy. We didn't get the turbo SF foresters here in the states as far as I know. And importing a jdm hood sounds expensive.

Great build thread! I used to drive a 95 Legacy Wagon, it was a great car and I really miss driving it. She's still sitting in my driveway but the transmission is toast, I'd love to fix her up one day and get her back into action, this thread might be the inspiration for me to do so!
