![]() To start please delete if not allowed.
I recently was forced to build the block after spinning a bearing and my shop is kind enough to swap on my rotated kit that i have pieced together over the past 9 months at no additional charge. Its still a 5 speed so im scared to dyno and would like the gurus of the community to use their credentials to give ne a ROUGH idea of what she might put down. Mods as follows Wiseco pistons stock bore 8.9:1 Manley h beam rods Custom machined crankshaft for better oiling Kelford ti springs and retainers Garrett t3 60-1 .82 ar stage 3 turbo HKS equal length headers Perrin rotated up pipe and down pipe Tial 44mm ewg Tial qr bov Id 1050x injectors (from dan at Boston motorsports, crazy price and connectors for free) And fuel pump upgraded. Now, the intention for the car before the bearing going was to have a 400 hp car on 93 that i can still deliver food in. Tune will not exceed 22 psi as i want torque low and to keep the turbo in its efficiency range. Afr will be 11.1-11.2. And elevation for what its worth is sea level. I have searched for threads on GARRETTS 60-1 but have only found reviews on the kinugawa or 20g versions. This forum has educated me a ton on our platform to the point i can usually diagnose all my Subie friends problems before they take it to a shop, and for that i am grateful, thank you to all of nasioc Results were 357 on the mustang setting ( shown in a post below ) and 398 on the Dyno dynamics setting Last edited by silversurfer05; 04-27-2020 at 07:09 PM. ![]() Long overdue Update
Tune was finalized at 18.5 psi and 10° of timing at 4300 RPM going up to 13° at redline. AFR target is around 10.8. extremely conservative tune due to still being on the stock 5speed. Dyno runs were postponed due to outbreak. Trying to find a way to do virtual dyno but Im not familiar with it. I want to prove my power lol |

![]() Curious what your power was. my 60-1 was a horrible turbo, that I am glad to be rid of.

![]() Im dying to find out as well!! Its a garrett stage 3 60-1. Couldn’t find a p trim at the time or a t4 kit in my price range so I do wish I at least went with the t67. The 60-1 hits right after 4k which to me is just right but after 24/25 psi ill need to upgrade. But I won’t get there until I swap in a six speed. I’m just hoping to crack 400 on pump, should be doable with some fuel trimming and more aggressive timing.

It didn't make 23 psi til 4800 RPMs and made 286 whp, 282 wtq at 20 psi on pump gas 91 at 5500 ft altitude uncorrected. I almost sold the car after this, but obviously its not a garrett. Update this when you can hit the dyno. |

make sure the road is flat, and if you're using a 5 speed do your pull in 3rd. Do your regular pull, for me that was 3500 RPMs to redline and log ONLY that pull. take the the log file from your AP, and install Virtual dyno. Open the log file with VD, and set your car information. For instance, this is a VD of my car with the 60-1 on E85. ![]() |

![]() 10-13 degrees total timing is way way low. You can probably add 10 degrees.
10.8 is pretty fat too. |

![]() Yeah, I requested it to be conservative because of the five speed, but had no clue as to what the power was. So we definitely could have pushed it further. I’m hoping to get timing to at least 17° at red li yeah, I requested it to be conservative because of the five speed, but had no clue as to what the power was. So we definitely could have pushed it further. I’m hoping to get timing to at least 17° at redline. Tha afr is likely due to to the filter I have being filthy and being restrictive. But will most likely be around 11-2-11.3 when finished. From what I understand there are torque limiting tables on the software my tuner recommended using(ecutek), which should help me quite a bit as I am about to say **** it and send it since i had a close call with an ecoboost with performance pack. Those things have stupid torque

![]() Also says 252 hp when I put the second gear log in. Based on the cars I have raced, there’s no way Im making that little.

![]() It was done using the STI I was my car for the upload setting. The WRX setting produced the weird numbers for whatever reason. Only difference is my car weighs about 200 pounds less than the listed weight on the app for the STI
Weight is corrected to reflect my cars weight https://img.nasioc.com/i/1WlqA.jpg Last edited by silversurfer05; 05-04-2020 at 10:36 PM. Reason: Graph updated with cars correct weight information |

![]() This is the dynojet graph I just received. I feel the mustang numbers are more accurate but this may help those who don't have a Mustang dyno near them and want to compare results

![]() Probably going to just start a new thread but I ordered a 6766 and we should be bolting it in not long after it arrives. Want to cross that 450 whp barrier with as little torque as possible (still 5 speed) by keeping boost low (~21psi) and timing conservative in the midrange, eventually ramping it up towards redline but obviously we will be limited by pump gas. Have seen several 460+whp punp setups with this turbo and stock motor so I said f”@k it haha

Granny shifting has done wonders for me lol But in all seriousness, with low timing and a conservative boost target, I don’t see torque exceeding 400. |
