Yeah, the big things I did between 80-110k we're spark plugs, differential fluid, coolant (done free when they did short block replacement), and I did just (at 140k) do the tranny fluid. Local dealer just fires new fluid into the plug hole and "exchanges" the dirty stuff out. I def have noticed a difference in my cvt. I've never done the fuel filter, but run by 44k every 50k, so that should take care of that. (Maybe...)

Air filters I just do once a year (wix @rockauto)

On an oil change note, what interval are you guys all using? I'm doing a wix filter and pennzoil and running 7500 on it. Anyone actually move down after Subaru changed interval (to avoid oil.consumption issues)?

Right, I bought my plugs and will get those swapped when they do the recall along with the coolant.

I run 0w40 now and went from burning a quart in 3000 miles on 0w20 to a quart in 7000 miles.

I change at 7500 but probably could go 10k with how few short trips I do. Almost all my miles are in 45min chunks so it gets plenty warm.

I probably wonít do anything with the trans or diffs for a while other than check for leaks. Again most of my commute is constant speed and mainly straights so not a ton of action in the diffs or trans.

yes. Amsoil Signature, Fram xg3593a filters. i've done enough UOA's that i feel confident in doing so

my "newer" engine (40k on it now) seems to use 1qt about every 4-5k vs my original engine using 1qt/10-12k until it **** the bed and dropped to 1qt/1500. so with adding 2-3qts now between changes i feel even more confident in my 12-15k intervals due to replenishing the add pack in the oil.

If you drive a lot of miles 12-15k isn't unreasonable. I would switch to 10k but I only change it 2 times a year as is so I don't really feel a need to change it less frequently.

What are thoughts of changing out diff fluid around 30k? I did my CVT fluid and it really makes a difference in terms of how direct the transmission feels. I'd like to think that factory diff oil (after being broken in metal shavings and all) would enjoy some new oil. I would think it would feel pretty nice around corners.

Check out * number 3 at the bottom:

IMO, its cheap if you can DIY, I did it every 30k on my Impreza before it got totalled. Rear diff is super easy to do; I never did the front myself because it was too difficult for me to get under the car.

15k miles seems really excessive for diff oil. That is a lot of changes in 100k

That would be 7 changes or 3 if you did it every 30k.

At that point you could almost pay for a used diff if yours blows up.

Iím not going to change my diff oil unless it starts leaking, Iíll let you know if I have any issues.

I agree that 15k miles for the diffs is overkill, was just adding that as a reference for what Subaru states.

Even my 3/4 ton Excursion has a diff change schedule of like 30k if used for towing....

Question for you guys. Are SPC Adjustable lower control arms from a 2015+ WRX compatible with a 2015 impreza hatch? Looking into lowering my hatch and someone has a set of those for sale locally for a good price. I know 08-14 wrx parts are compatible but I think I've seen that the control arms are shared w/ 2015+ WRXs as well so should fit my hatch.

I see conflicting compatibility notes online for the SPC lower control arms between WRX and impreza fitment.

I saw a timken one on rock auto for like 80$. They had so many options.

I knew the Impreza was noisy but I think my wheel bearing is super loud now, kind of got worse over time so I didnít realize how loud it actually was haha hopefully that will quiet it down.
