I bought my car two weeks ago, it had no issues because everything was rebuilt to stock on it. It starts up with one too two clicks. But it does have a intake down pipe and exhaust it has a check engine light because of the o2 sensor from the down pipe. No tune as of now. But three days ago I go to start my car. But it doesn’t start. I noticed my fuel pump isn’t priming. I was looking all threw the forms and did everything other people has said, I checked all my fuses none of them are blown. I checked to see if I was getting power too the fuel pump relay. And then I checked if I was getting power underneath the passenger side in the back that goes straight to the fuel pump with a 12v circuit tester. And I’m getting power. I have checked all my grounds and there all secure. The owner recently replaced it with an oem one. It randomly started working yesterday out of nowhere so I took it for a drive the parked it then it stopped working again. I’m am very confused on what is going on. The car has a brand new wiring harness and brand new ecu. This car was put back to stock before he sold it to me. I don’t know what could be the issue.

If you checked your fuse and relay I would try looking at your fuel pressure regulator and maybe try changing the fuel filter. But it sounds like a burnt pump.

i have a similar problem where after i put gas in my 2007 Subaru WRX the car cranks but won’t start. so i turn it off than on, and crank it again and she sputters than eventually after i turn the key on, and crank it enough (3-4 times) it’ll start. but she misfires for a few minutes till i rev it or start driving and the misfire goes away. would that be also fuel pump not priming ?

I recently had a similar problem. I do have an aftermarket pump and it’s hardwired so different from stock setup. But my wiring near the pump was bad. I would pull out the pump and check the connections from the actual pump make sure those are fine. I could wiggle mine and it would work and stop working as well. Check the wires right under the fuel pump cover as well. I guess I should mention my car is an 05 WRX I’m not sure what year your car is.

Have to agree, sounds like the fuel pump burned out.

I would also assume a bad fuel pressure regulator possibly. I've heard many times about the oem subaru fpr are flawed and deteriorate.

I have an 02 wrx with a similar issue. Two things I looked at that might help you was putting direct power to the fuel pump with a battery or jump pack and a wire to see if it even accepts power, and I am not 100%sure about this one but there is a second relay in the same location as the fuel pump relay, I believe it is a dark orange color. From what I could find it is related to powering the fuel pump as well as some other things. Hope this helps!
