Need help with aftermarket springs

I just recently put a set of Rota Attacks (17" x 7.5" ET48) on my 98 BD (sedan) with 215/45/17 tires . . . but the darn thing looks too high now

. . . so now I want to put some after-market springs on it, but I want to keep the stock shocks.

I was looking at the Eibachs, which I understand will drop the car about 1.2" all around. But I've got a couple of questions:

1. Will I have any rubbing issues with this setup?

2. How good/bad are these springs? I've read some pretty varied opinions about the ride quality of Eibachs. I'm not going to auto-x or race at the track, but I do enjoy the occasional spirited drive on the way to work, on weekends, for no apparent reason, etc.

I'm open to suggestions if there are other "better" springs out there, but I have to admit I like the price of the Eibachs . . .

Ride quality is ok..depends on your struts.

You whould have no rubbing issues with the 215's...225's on that size wheel will rub in the back for sure, possibly front too.
