90k maintenace for 03 wrx impreza
Can someone help me compile list of parts i will need for for my 90k tune up. I know all the fluids should be replaced. I know the transmission fluid was recently replaced, so will just check level.
My main concern is about the parts that generally wear out at this point of the car's life. (i.e. coolant hoses perhaps?) if someone who knows from experience which parts i should have ready. and any tips or additional suggestions. one thing i've read is to use subaru oem fluids. safe than sorry...

I'd definitely do upper/lower radiator hoses based on my personal experience of one blowing up and stranding me in 100+ degree heat.
Other than that, just follow what's in your maintenance schedule. Keep in mind if it's an 03 and the timing belt hasn't been changed then you are probably over the 105 month timing belt change interval too. |

might as well go over your vac hoses too, especially near the turbo. they get dry and brittle.

unfortunately time is just as much the enemy as mileage it seems- i did my 90k about 10 months ago. Boots/hoses were fine. If i recall correctly i did:
Plugs (not required depending on when you last did them) Diff Trans Oil Coolant brake fluid Then do a real good (IE, in the air) inspection of boots, hoses, joints, bushings, any bolts you may have fiddled with over the years.. |

Yes, I just did mine even though I'm only at 80K miles. If you haven't already done the accessory belts, check them while they're off.

Do you have the owners manual for your vehicle? It should list all the recommended services and at what mileage intervals to complete them at. If you dont have one lemme know and I can post a pic for you if you like.

Besides piece of mind, are you saving that much money compared to taking it in to a dealer/shop do the 90k. Whats the average going rate on that?
