Nice build & great photography!

Where did you purchase the intercooler cover from? It looks like AVT cover, but I'm not finding that for sale on ebay anymore.

Thank you, sir.

And you’re good.. it is the AVT cover! He posts them every once in a while on eBay. When this popped up, I snagged it right away. I just checked and none are listed right now.

I wanted to keep it OEM but also wanted some weight added to the notchy shifter so I went with this:

Overall, I like it. Removed some of the 'notchiness' and still flows with the interior. I personally like the look of the red one better but the new one feels better. It's a bit smaller and definitely a noticeable weight difference.

When I was researching, you'd never guess it but the red knob also has some weight behind it. I think it was 199g vs 277g or something minor.

2014 vs 2019:

Looking at doing the Nameless Axle Backs but not sure if I want no mufflers, 4" or 5" mufflers.

4" mufflers, you will want some volume, but it you want your whole neighborhood to hear your car start then do the deletes.

Then wheels and bags.

You never leave VW, it just follows you to other platforms.

Hahaha.

Any videos of the 4” mufflers?

I’m thinking 4” with 4” double walled tips.

I ordered a set last night... they will be here Thursday.

Appreciate it, sir! Yellow is a bold choice for me but the brakes are bold so I went for it. LOL.

Thank you, sir! I put the camera down for a while so it's been fun to mess with it again.

Still a big nope!

This was October 08 but I forgot to post them. Grabbed a large coffee and tackled the F1 brake light. Very easy install.

I can't say enough good things about Nameless... I literally emailed them asking if they had any 4" mufflers with 4" double walled tips in stock. Within five minutes they confirmed they did. I placed the order right after and they provided tracking within minutes.

The only issue was that it was raining sideways all day... My fiancee was like I know you... you will be out there installing the exhaust despite the rain.

I sat around plotting my attack... when I realized I had my Harley rain gear. LOL.

She caught me as I was finishing the install and the rain had finally stopped.

The huge tips set it off. Install was too easy. I did it with my car parked between two cars in the driveway. The only reason I even lifted one side of the car was to give myself more room since I am a big dude.

Sounds great and the throttle response is much more crisp. Feels like the car isn't restricted anymore. Almost like you gave someone oxygen or took a mask off while you were working out.

I used to follow your build threads on vortex. Crazy to see it all over again after all these years. Nice STI and pictures!

I may have some Work D9R's for sale (18 x 9.5 ET38 Silver/Polished Lip) in a few weeks if you are 100% sure you don't want wheels and/or bags.

(Yes, I'm going to keep doing this, give in to your former VW habits.)

Edit: The 4" muffler axle backs were the correct call, it sounds great.

Thanks man! If I did any wheels, it would be a winter setup. However, I plan to just park it this year and use my truck.

Looks like the 2020 fog light covers are a hit:

Quote:
Reaching out in regards to the order you placed for the two fog light covers. We did not have the parts in stock and had to order them. Unfortunately these covers are on back-order. I spoke with Subaru and we do have one of each of the covers allocated to us when they become available. Subaru said we should see them next week, at which time we will send them out to you. Sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused. Any questions you may have feel free to reach out to us.
Some random pictures I've never uploaded:
