No problem.

I might venture to route the wire for the AP differently, but with how the wire goes into the connector straight i think id have to move the mount up higher.

It's to bad Cobb doesn't offer a right angle plug on AP part.. I have the Right Angle for the OBDII connection.. it definitely would make a cleaner install if that plug was right angle too..

Thanks again.... I have a Grimmspeed Catted Limited DP so the Wide band mounts to the very top of the DP at the Turbo ...how hard was the install for the Vent/WideBand???? and 'special' instructions??

Youtube of a guy doing a LHD gauge install.

I didn't mean to imply I did the mod myself, car came with it already done and I've enjoyed it.

The car has been a Stage 2 before with the larger aftermarket intercooler.. so I know what it 'can do' with it.. I am curious to see what the OE 19 I/C can do..
Previous Stage 2 ..323/376 for reference:

Either way it will look awesome. The upgraded OEM parts are a nice touch, I wish they came with a FMIC at some point.

For gauge mounting, check out the SMY dual bezel. They also make a 52mm adapter mount for the Accessport

Thank you.

Excellent...thank you .. I am still undecided on where I want the Wide Band gauge... especially since it will probably be the one I look at most??? maybe ???

I got my coilovers off Amazon... knowing what I know about spring rates and stuff... I opted for non-adjustable, Very similar to Stock Spring rates that are Height adjustable and allows Camber.. Nothing real fancy.. My ride quality is about the same as stock.. *Maybe a little bit stiffer but not really interfering with the ride quality I expected.

As for your situation.. I would suggest a spring change on the Coilover... The problem then becomes the valving.. You might get away with changing the springs that are on your coils to something softer..IIRC the BC come with like a 10k front and 8k rear... Converted to lbs..thats .. Heres a quick Chart to show you what rates you have ...

Spring Rate conversion

I would suggest for ride quality to get maybe a 350lb Front Spring and 275lb Rear spring .... You can get 2.5in Springs separately in any rate you want.. Hope that helps. Oh.. if you change the springs on your coils... you still get to control the dampening with the knob and you still get your height adjustment out of it and it would be about the same as you putting a lowering spring on...

Intercooler is ready to drop in.. Looks New..
I will try the STi 2019 OEM one first.. I might test to see how the AM one looks before I decide.. We'll see going to be doing the turbo/injectors/Downpipe and 3 port EBCS.. I really am contemplating either painting my OE manifold or just getting a new one.. Anybody painted theirs with either the Grimmspeed Cherry Blossom Red or the Wrinkle Red VHT???
How did it turn out???

Heres a pic of the 2019 Intercooler ready to go

Thanks

This is one thread that I've seen with VHT wrinkle red. Resprayed SPT intake. Looks like a slightly brighter shade of red with a slight orange hue. I like it personally. Funny how his car started out similar to yours as well Might be worth messaging him to see how well it worked!

Great thread, Bill. I am about to be taking on a similar endeavor, though without the awesome backstory. I had a 2005 STi in PSM from 05-12. Last week I picked up a 2005 STi in OBP for $7k and will be starting the restoration process very soon. Cheers!

Thank you and Cool... Good luck. Let me know if you need any help
One of the best resources I have is knowing the part#'s of things..
I use this website : http://opposedforces.com/parts/impreza/us_g11/ That should help you get started.. There still is limited items that Subaru still stocks for a Blob.. Hopefully you have a decent relationship with your parts Dept.

Had some time to work on the rear spats finally . they are coming out ok. I had to basically sand them completely down to get the finish I am looking for. Not a expert at all, but learning. have to wet sand them then clear them. then wet sand them again.. The things we go thru for perfection of our vision

To Dang cold out to do anything actually on the car. *0degrees* lately. Brrr
So finishing up some things I can do in my basement..
*polishing the intercooler
*working on the paintwork on the spats.
*Putting all the parts in a pile so I can install them when it gets warmer
More Later

My painting skills are getting better.. not perfect by no means... but acceptable.. Reference: Rear Bumper Aprons for the STi..Don't know if I will actually install them. but at least I have the option. Still need to clear them, Sand, polish, Buff ...Repeat ... Tell your thoughts on actually installing them..

Thanks
