Default Gear Shift Indicator Gauge

Hey guys

Was just wondering if there is anything available for 02 - 05 WRXs/STIs in terms of gauges that can show you what gear you are in?

I came across this and am wondering how it is wired up and how it will work with a manual trans?

It is not because I don't know what gear I am in it is more for convenience sometimes when driving hard you shoot through some gears, go through some corners and it would be handy to be able to see what gear you are in from a glance at a gauge close by.

Is something like this possible? Or is it something that is very tricky to install?

The ecu knows what gear you are in, so you should be able to pull that with a 5 dollar odb2 scanner and Torque app. I know the accessport will let you monitor gear selection.
