Default A/C cover clicking back and forth

I noticed yesterday the cover with the 3 circled black things clicking like the second hand of a clock... but more like every 2 seconds, and it was kinda loud.

Also the A/C stopped working about a month ago

any ideas of anything to check?

It is a magnetic clutch. If it stopped working and makes unusual noises I would guess it is broken. Try replacing it.

the system has a built in pressure switch... too high and it'll do that too low it'll do that. to prevent you from burning up the compressor. Try checking the charge.
