Default Stock 2012 WRX with stage 1 91acn logs. Please review..

Normal cruising from dead stop to 4th gear:

Below are two WOT runs in 3rd from about 2500rpms. I see some numbers in the "fine knock learning" but according to the cobb video the numbers start out at -1.4 and work their way down to zero. So, it looks good to me, but I'm new to all this.

Filled up my tank with Shell 91 (using chevron 91 with logs on first post), and got this...

The fine knock learning could be noise - the shell 91 logs look good. I would take some additional logs just to be sure.

Question about target boost...I understand 14.5 is target boost for stage 1 and I'm hitting up to 15.4. Is that bad? Or is it OK cause I live in a hotter climate area (California, hits 30 degrees at the lowest rarely)?

Another thing...I did a data log in 95 degree weather and then in 60 degree weather, but the boost stayed the same. I though the ecu automatically lowered boost in colder weather? Should I be worried about this (especially when it hits low 30's in the winter)?

You are OK for now - I would take an additional log when it gets much colder.

Did two more datalogs. 90 degree weather. Same tank of gas as my other log with zero knock. Why has knock returned?

And what does the 4.69 on a/f learning mean?

Could be due to a heat-soaked intercooler - was the car sitting idling or moving slow shortly before the WOT run? One thing you may want to try is the low wastegate (LWG) version of the 91ACN map. You don't have any excessive reported knock, but we can see if it is impacted by lowering boost a little.

Can someone explain to me what the a/f learning is. Mine is always in the high positives, but when I look at other stage 1 data logs, they always have negative numbers.

A/F Learning 1 is a long-term correction to fueling based on patterns of fueling errors that the engine control unit (ECU) sees based on front o2 sensor feedback. The idea is that the ECU can get you closer to the intended fuel target faster. A/F Learning 1 is made up of 4 different values (A,B,C,D), which you can view individually ("A/F Learning 1" in your log is simply the current one that is being applied).

The learned values can alternate between positive and negative - there's a margin of error here and it isn't always precise. There are also variances in the ethanol content of fuel that impact these trims. A general rule of thumb is that they all should be within about +/- 5%. If you are well outside of this, then you may have a mechanical fueling issue. If not, then it is not something to be concerned with, regardless if they are all positive or all negative, or a mix of both.
