Default I need advice/help w/ check engine light

So i put my new downpipe on last weekend and it seemed to be fine except last night on my way home from work going 80 mph my car simply died and shut off. I pulled over and turned it back on and the check engine light was on and cruise light was flashing at me. The only thing i can thing of that i didnt do yet for my downpipe was the little bushing that goes inbetween the exhaust and where the downpipe meet up. I dont wanna have to take it to the dealer to fix it but i need my car this weekend for a road trip and so i gotta fix this quick. Got any ideas of what else it might be? i have a VF30 turbo, CSS intercooler, perrin pullys, HKS carbon TI exhaust, and and injen intake. This hasnt happened before the Downpipe so im thinking its gotta be it but idk why... Lemme know what u think guys...
Thanks!

I'd wait for someone else to give advice but IIRC a CEL and flashing cruise light might mean your car is in limp mode which = bad. If it's in limp mode driving and boosting are not good ideas, I'll try and check if those are the indicators for limp mode.

I just looked and I think that might indicate the limp mode, and the one person who pulled their codes got 2. The one was "system running to lean" or whatever, and a cat malfunction code. Are you tuned for those mods?

That's probably why, you NEED a tune, you could severely damage the car without one. I'd wait for some advice on going into limp mode, you may have done some damage already, doubt it, but it's possible.

Your car will throw P0420 obd code wilth a catless downpipe w/o a CEl fix or a tune. If you are running catless, bigger turbo, bigger IC you need to get a tune!! Do it before something goes terribly wrong! You can clear the light but it will come on again 50 miles later. When a CEL is on your car goes into "safe mode" so YOU can't cause any further damage to engine or other componets of the vehilce.

really don't see how you made it off the noob title without learning anything doing so.

first, you can't reset the cel by turning the key off then on.

second, what engine management are you running?

third, there isn't a "bushing" between the downpipe to midpipe its a doughnut gasket and in your case it should be a 3 inch 2 hole gasket.

Very tru and the "second" part... he has no EM... "he hasn't had the chance" so he'd rather blow his car up instead
