Same here. I wasn't trying to autocross on Blizzaks. I'm hoping to swap my summer wheels back on this weekend. Also going to be making some changes to my suspension set-up soon, just haven't decided what to do yet....

Yeah I'm definitely pissed at mother nature about the lack of snow this winter. And of course the gf has given me crap about it, as if I should have been able to forecast a mild winter. Anyways....

I have ISC coilovers right now. That's what I've had for the past 8 months or so. They normally ride just fine on my commute to work and on the interstate. But I travel often for work, and places like Norfolk have horrendous roads. The beating and banging driving on those roads is wearing me and the car out. So I've been researching several options. Apparently, just swapping out the coilover springs with some softer Swift Springs will make a pretty big difference, which is probably what I'm going to do. But, some people say the springs won't help out enough, which has me considering getting my stock struts revalved by Feal and just putting those back on...but then I lose my pimp ride height. And lastly, I've considered just ponying up the cash and buying a high quality set of coilovers....but that's probably not happening.

Keep the stock sway bars on if you want to have any chance of being competitve with other stock subies. My car doesn't have enough body roll and the rear is just to tight for autocross driving. You want the car to sway and roll into the turns but mine doesn't, so stiff that it just clunks and bucks through the turns(mainly due to the coilovers being so stiff). Fine for high speed country road or road course type stuff but not tight stuff like autocrossing.

vmsc has an autocross april 1st, $30. they have 7 events thoughout the year all at meadow farm park, doswell.

anybody interested?

both vmsc and wdcr offer driver schools. i did 'em both and learned alot about drving faster. the cost is reaaalllly cheap for what you learn. all the links are on post 1.

i'm probly going to tarheel rallycross march 11 and have a seat open if anyone wants to go let me know.

btw put my car in a ditch during the snow

Yea I think I'm going to order a Fire Extinguisher mount for the front passenger seat and strap a big one to it.

http://www.iwsti.com/forums/warranty...ast-night.html

Got the bracket, but I'll try and find a cheaper extinguisher. Just happened to catch it when its on a special discount price...ha...Shipping is 13 bucks though...ground

There is a website that sells stock stereos, and check for used parts in Washington State there is a huge Subaru junk yard up there.

Btw I ended up getting the wife a new car. It wasn't the 07 wagon it ended up being a 08 aspen white legacy limited edition. I stole that from the Honda dealership for trade in value.

Ha, I just remembered I took my stock one out awhile back because it wouldn't accept cd's in the 5th slot and when it did I had trouble getting them out and I didn't like that. My friend who use to have an 02 wrx gave me his(same head unit) and I've been using that. I think I took my stock one apart as practice for when I took the one I'm using now apart to make all the lights red, but I put it all back together.

Its just sitting in my garage and been there for a long time. You can have it if it still works but you might have that cd problem. I can plug it in to my car to see if it still works at least.

Interested?
