Default In search of a 99-01 2.5RS in the Austin area for ECU reflash R&D

Hello all,
Jared here from HEM Performance. We are working with Bill Knows of iSpeed Performance out of CA, to develop an ECU reflash for the 2.5 RS. We have all the equipment, but we need a car that we can use to get it all dialed in.
We are specifically looking for one w/ a turbo kit that is running the stock ECU or a piggy back/stand alone that can be easily converted back to stock (Link plus w/ plug and play harness ect.). If all we can get our hands on is an NA one then we'll settle for that as well.
We need the car for 5-7 days. We can pay for a rental car if need be, and we can work something out for reasonable compensation. You will also get a free ECU reflash w/ tuning specifically for you car (if you want it). All the testing will be done w/ test ECUs, so if you don't want the reflash your ECU will not be altered.
We are looking to do this some time in mid-late July.
If anyone is interested/willing to do this w/ us please let me know.

Thanks,
Jared

Yeah Andre,
We're not compleatly sure how the 04 is going to take to the reflash. As soon as we get the CGs done I'll be ordering up an 04 ECU and giving you a call
Jared.

Dallas works. I'll drive down and pick it up if I have to. Do you have a turbo kit on it, or are you running NA?

Jared, do you think you will have a reflash in the near future. I am watching a Link currently for sale but I think the reflash is a better idea.
You will need to find a way to replace the current map sensor to a 3 bar map either connecting a GM unit to the stock harness or finding one that fits in the stock location. that's the only way to tune the car properly. replacing the stock one with a plug and play 3bar map is more desirable since the people buying a reflash are looking for plug and play application. I guess you know all this but I just want to make sure.

Elliot

Yeah, we're aware of the physical MAP sensor limitations.

The plan is to have the reflash working and ready for sale through HEM Performance (TX) and iSpeed Performance (CA) by the end of August, but I can't make any promises at this point.

We thought we would have it done in Feb when we were working on the WRX reflash. We got the WRX reflash working, but the RS program is about 5 times the size of the WRX program. We have the fuel and ignition tables identified, but it's the little things like the MAP sensor limiter that are proving to be extremely hard to locate.

I'm sure that's more info than anyone needed to know.

I live in SA and have these mods:

K&N + Ganzflow (I have stock intake)
2.25"midpipe + WRX muffler (few bends on MP)
Unorthodox Crank pulley (not sure if lightened+underdrive)
Borla Headers V2 (I have stock header)

Other mods just not performance wise.

Only N/A. Let me know if I can help ya. Defintaley want to buy the reflash if works out.

Better put this. I have 74k logged.

DreddRS25,
We would really prefer to use an RS-T for this. We actually already have everything we need to do reflashes for NA setups. It's the forced induction that we're trying to develop. We have not started tuning any NA cars yet, but we will start very soon.

There's a good chance that we'll be working w/ Kcz, but we still have to work out the plan.

Thanks for the offer. I appreciate it, and I would take you up on it if we needed to work on the NA flash.

Sorry to dig up such an old thread, but does anyone know if HEM Performance is offering reflashes for the RS?

I'd like to get back on the RS ASAP, as I need it to make my RS-T pass inspection (can't run my stand alone anymore). However, we seem to have lost the source code for the software that we developed for iSpeed, so it's going to take some time to get it back up and running again.
Right now we are devoting all of our time to the development of our 350Z reflash system which should be done very very soon. I do plan to jump back on the RS when we're done w/ that.
In short, we won't be doing RS reflashes for a while. I really do want to get back on it, I'm just tapped for time, sorry.

I have to pull our WB out of the Z. I think I can find time to do it Thurs and posably get it installed in your car thurs night. I don't think I can tune it Thurs night, but if I get the WB in that would be a step in the right direction.
