this should definitely make the endlinks fit but will the sways also fit and will this cause any other problems just wondering why they used diff control arms to begin with

The sedan has a wider track than the wagon, thus the difference in the control arms.

Sedan swaybars will fit a wagon. There is no difference in the rear. Up front, the only difference between a wagon bar and a sedan bar is that the sedan bar is flared out slightly at the ends. That's it. How do I know? We installed my old 24mm Whiteline sedan bar into my friend's wagon.

You may or may not need the spacers up front if you're using Kartboy endlinks. The KB spacers are $4 for four from KB http://www2.kartboy.com/x4/product.p...cat=253&page=4

Are the Whiteline endlinks fixed or have spherical ends? I know that if you use Kartboy endlinks you have to have the ones for a wagon for the front bar. The mounting cup on the control arm will not accomodate the sedan endlink.

If you use Sedan control arms, you can use sedan endlinks and a sedan bar. That's what's been on my Saabaru for a couple of years now, and it's all good. If you don't use the sedan arms, then you need to somehow compensate for the narrower track of the wagon and wider sedan bar. We're all kind of saying the same thing, but it DOES depend on which pieces you have and can use.

Yep, normal. It works out to 9* of toe, in fact.

I had to drive (very slowly) a 1/4 mile like that, because i couldn't loosen my tie rods. My shoulder would fall out every time i tried. Cars don't handle well with that much toe.

I also have an '02 wagon and a Whiteline sedan 24mm fsb, with Kartboy solid endlinks, and the swaybar hits the lower control arms unless it's exactly centered. Was wondering if longer endlinks would move it far enough away, or if maybe just adding some rubber hose/ hoseclamps to keep it centered would work.
On the sedan control arm option - anyone have any issues with tire rub after the swap?
Thanks!

Swapped the Kartboys out for the stock endlinks, and the clunking is gone. Anyone know why Kartboys would be 1/4" shorter? That's just enough to move the swaybar into contact with the control arms, unfortunately.

I used the string method to fix up toe/thrust angle many times with relative accuracy/ease and did it better than most alignment shops. When you tell them to get exactly zero, they still do a halfway job and get it semi-green screened.

As for the stuck tie rods, long wrench or crowfoot on a breaker bar + rubber mallet does lots of good. You can also try heat and PB blaster, but for me it wasn't necessary.

This is on a Chicago car that has been here since bought new from the dealership. Lots of rust.

Are the KBs for Sedan or wagon? They should match whatever control arms you have. You haven't provided any details here...

We did the swap on my friend's 2002 WRX wagon. He has 17"x7.5" 48ET wheels and 225/45-17 tires and there is still enough space to clear the front fender. The car is lowered on a set of 2006 STI springs w/Tokiko D-Spec struts.

With this set-up of lowering however there is a rubbing issue at the back. We're going to have to roll the fenders for about 30-degrees on the center-line to effectively eliminate the rubbing issue.

I bought them new via the classifieds here from a private owner, and was told they're for a wagon. Are the sedan endlinks shorter?

Good info, thanks. I'm on Swift sport springs w/ D-Specs and '06 wrx 17's, which I believe are 17x7 with 225/45-17's, no rubbing thus far.

The 2006-2007 OEM WRX wheels are 17x7 55ET, so they're 'more inside' the wheel-well.

You can get away with wagon axles, it supposedly shortens their life span.
