The article was from Australia, and the RS was the version for the WRX, not the 2.5RS.

Just wondering. I'm trying to choose an exhaust now.

Apex-I WS series exhaust is a replacement for the discontinued RS muffler and is just as quiet. I have one for my civic and is quiet as stock.
Unfortunately, they only sell cat-back systems and don't have an application for the Imprezas.
