Not the response I was expecting. It's just a comparison of dynos not the shops themselves. If it made xxx on one dyno and zzz on another, it makes sense to use those to show the increases.apples to apples. And also have the bragging rights which a shop would usually love if a car they built made a much higher number on a competitors dyno.
Was just a thought.

Besides if you want us to compare then we can take it to Steve's dyno or Jotech or Alamo. (We did a comparison on Jotechs dyno last year on the FP3794) |

Cool. I wanted to know what the car would make now on cobbs since all the work AWD has done.

I don't understand why people get all worked up about comparing dyno numbers. No two dynos will read the exact same, ever. There is absolutely no point in taking this car back to COBB Plano to see what it makes on their dyno unless all you care about is having a big dyno number. Granted, AWD can do that on their own dyno if they wanted by manipulating parasitics and other settings.

Yeah Cobb has a overzealous dyno. They use it to sell more goodies.

This week we ordered DriveShaft Shop front axles to go with our DSS rear axles. The guys at DSS are great to work with and they should be here in time for the Texas Mile.

Read much? Out of curiosity why are you so adamant about a dyno comparison that proves nothing that no one doesn't already know? Everyone who deals with either AWD or Cobb knows that AWDs dyno reads lower. Its 100% because the dyno's are set up differently, end of story. This **** is just stupid. |

A member made a false blow at a company saying they turn up the output numbers on their dyno to sell their products/services. |

But you didn't answer the question. Yes dynos all read differently I know this. However a claim was made that a shop purposely displays higher numbers to sell their products. That is the accusation which proof is needed, or else it's just BS and just biased because the person prefers one shop over the other.

All i'm saying is that aside from all dynos being different, there is already a known relationship between these particular two. AWD reads lower than Cobb Plano, end of story. As much as I might not like to admit it, I highly doubt Cobbs dyno reads higher to please customers, i'm gonna go ahead and make an educated guess that it's just calibrated differently. |

Cool factor aside, it's just not going to happen. Might as well drop it now.

Can we please move on.
Changing the subject. Today I picked up some freshly powdercoated parts for the Mexico STi. We decided to change it up a bit and powdercoate the RPF1's black. I also powdercoated a pipe as tow hook just for fun. |
