Default Is there a big difference between a 97' L and 99 RS suspension?

I wanna know if putting a stock 1999 Impreza RS suspension on my 1997 Impreza L is worth bothering with?
Is there a big difference in spring rate, struts and overall ride?
Thanx!

Bry.

There is a difference, but not much. You didn't say how many miles on the RS suspension? If yours is worn out, you may notice a greater difference.

Thanx for the input, but I think I'm gonna go all out and actually spend some cash, get some KYB AGX's and some Ground Control Coilovers, the sure fire way to make a difference

The Ver.5 Struts although not adjustable, are much more superior to the AGX's. (Cheaper too)

I would go with a custom spring rate of 180 in the back and around 210 or 200 in the front. The savings you made on the the struts can go towards calling up GC and get your stuff customized.

Eli you do realize the v5 strut doubled in price as of recently. Sugar even tried to organize another group buy at the old price and she had no luck.
Go with the KYB/AGX and Ground Control (I was one of the first to get them) they work great and cover the same adjustability range of the DMS but not as fine tuneable. It's the best "poor man's" coilover money can buy just don't get a spring rate higher than 300f/250r or 315f(only available in 9" length)/275r. You will lose almost all adjustability of the shock to match the spring rate leaving you to drive around daily with the shocks set to 3f/8r like alot of people had to. I went with 275f/225r 8" springs (you could try 250f/200r) and for daily driving I run the shocks at 2f/4r (any lower and the car gets jittery from the springs being to stiff).
