Default need jdm 4.44 lsd axle seal part # quick!

been slaving for the last 2 days, finally got everything done. i go to put the rear r160 diff in and noticed a cracked axle seal on the diff. i carefully removed it, but now i need to know what to get at the dealership. will a 1998 2.5rs one work? either way, im going tomaro morning so i need it asap!

actually i would bet that a 00 RS would be closer
98 is a 22 spline
00 is a 25 spine
your 4.44 is probbaly a 25/19 spline or 25/20 if it came out of a legacy

actually a jdm sti. its a mechanical lsd as well.

r-180 then?

there are 3 styles of case
22 spline
25 spline
r180 (unknown spline)

if its an r180 get one for a usdm sti
other wise 00rs/99 forester was the first appearance of the 5 bolt in north america

he said r160 in first post. all V4 i see on here are r160(and all non RA which iirc had the only avail r180 that year) so far.

well i jus got back. all 92 -2000 used the same part # apparently, 1 for left, one for right. i looked at the 02wrx/forester and it was exactly the same as mine(even said r160 diff in decription).the sucky part was they only had one, so i have to wait untill friday to get the other!
