Here's a shot once I got home after filling up and driving mainly down a 55mph rural road. Not bad but after some city and spirited driving I'm at 26.

How is the ST fun factor with a couple of additional adult passengers? Still good or does it fall off the curve worse than other cars?

Same question on the suspension and handling.

I'm asking because there are some other cars that I've noticed are quite fun and capable with driver only but seem to feel overly penalized when you have 3 adults in it. Stuff like the struts bottoming on minor pavement dips, understeer starts showing up unexpectedly, acceleration goes from good to worse than a Mazda5, etc.

I don't use the onboard calculator, I use a phone app and log miles and gallons at every fillup. I don't even know what the computer says my mileage is, but the last time I checked it was a few mpg lower than the actual.

I might try cutting ****ty wawa 92oct. out and stick with Sunoco 93 and see if I get any improvement.

Can't be worse than a Mazda5 with 5 adults in it.

Really, though.. why are you driving aggressively with anyone in the back seat? It's kinda douchey to subject rear seat passengers in a compact car to anything that would make you notice understeer.

I'll let you know after this weekend. AutoX on Sunday. I'm also curious to how it will respond to slicks. I kinda feel its setup perfectly now and any more or less grip will upset it.

I saw some horrible stripes on a build thread yesterday. Fortunately, I plan on keeping mine stock so I won't be looking/raging much at the idiocy that would get be banned like I was on FT86Club.

So what's the point of owning an ST then? Assuming he's telling the truth, if you're going to hypermile the **** out of it and drive it like a ***** all of the time, you might as well just buy a Prius and get 50 mpg for the same money.

Yeah, don't underestimate how much the domestic crowd is into garish flamboyance, especially the old farts. Then again, some of the stuff I've seen the new bro'tato crowd do with old Subarus around here blows that out of the water

True story. Not to mention the complete demographic shift where "Jap crap" is their motto.

I lurk that forum sometimes as I've been considering a brz. At least it isn't as bad as the Veloster forum.

What suspension are people putting on these cars? Are people slamming it like fools? Most people staying stock?

There seems to be a lot of Brotatoes worrying about their mudflaps too.

That's more the style that the regular Focus people go with. If you check out Focaljet, those guys seem more normal. I guess the ST guys are their own breed.

I have a set of KW V3s sitting and waiting for warmer weather, not planning on slamming though. I actually likes the ride height of the Rally Sport Direct car after they installed the Eibach(I think) springs. Thought they said it was a 1.2 or 1.4 drop.

Uggh. SVTperformance.com is the best Mustang forum I can find for technical knowledge, but there's just a glut of close minded, good 'ole boys over there that make the KKK look like a progressive thinking organization.

THat's how I am with the STi now (04, 100K+ miles). I now have a 10 minute commute with 3 lights on 35mph roads. I don't exploit the STi anymore, and even then, I only autocrossed it. I'm not taking my only car to a racetrack.

Eibach Sportlines give a good drop, but push alignment specs too far out of line and will require additional aftermarket adjustments. I have the Pro Kit which drop almost an inch. It rides and looks like how it should be from factory. After having coils on the subaru, I no longer have an interest in them for daily driving. I enjoy the comfort I have now.

the KW ST is set up perfectly imo

^^^I just checked, they used Eibach Pro Kit springs which are a 1.0/1.2 drop.

The KW car looks to be lower than how their car came out with the Pro Kit:

They offer V1s overseas but, only the V3s in the US for coilovers. There was a thread on one of the forums where they had a spring only application as well.

The ST application has a more of a drop then compared to non-ST foci, probably weight and progressiveness.
