Default 300c srt8 vs modded 07 wrx?

Im going to the drag strip next weekend. My friend wants to be me $100 that his 300 st8 can beat my wrx. I would do it but i dont know if i can.

I have a 16g xt turbo with a catless downpipe and exhaust with supporting mods, external wastegate as well. EBCS as well.

Do I stand a chance of winning or losing the money?

Ive searched but all ive seen are a mixture of answers!

Im not an expert, but I would say that if you get a good launch and he gets a bad one, you probably stand a good chance to beat him. If he matches your launch, I would probably give a slight edge to him. Those things are no slouches.

Have you ever been to a quarter mile track before to find out what you can run? Do you know what mods he has? If he is stock you have a chance if you can drive.

This.

I'd be curious to what mods the 300c has though.

its bone stock, I've beaten a charger srt 8 by launching my car at 7k rpms but that is really out of my comfort zone to do that ever again

What year is the Chrysler? You can google the 1/4 mile times for a stocker to give yourself an idea. Are they rear or all wheel drive?

wouldn't even really bother looking up times unless it's something outrageously faster or slower, i'm guessing you and him both are not professional drivers so it's basically all going to come down to driver ability/error

Although if you did need more advice, I wouldn't bet anything unless you're a pretty good driver and he's really ****ty. I'd be more confidant if I were you around a tight track then at the drag strip

You've put all that money into mods already - what's another hundred bucks to find out?

those 300c are fat pigs. you should beat him with a good launch. the 300cSRT should be low 13s. but thats a prof. driver on a closed course. real world says high 13s.

This. But he probably has an automatic witch might slow him down a bit. Though he doesnt have to shift and you do. As long as you get your shifts right you should take him.

I always launch around there. Gotta make all your money in the 60ft or you are done with all these high hp cars coming out.

I think they are all automatic.....

And that actually is better on a dragstrip. Consistent. He's not going to miss a gear. You might.

Tell him to just race for bragging rights. This isnt the fast and the furious we dont need to be racing for pinks. I think you might take him though

My thoughts as well. Why does $100 need to be on the line with your 'friend'? It's a foolish wager when you have no confidence in your ability to win. But then again, I'm not a betting man.

Just go up with out him to practice. If you can beat 13 then it will be cake. I don't see why you couldn't what do you make to the wheels, close to 300?

And anyway what's $100? If losing $100 you can pay the bills at the end of the month you have no business gambling if the first place.

He'll probably loose a mirror or his interior may fall apart in the process of launching his 300c.

With a 16g xt and supporting mods you should have no problem. That's if you get a ok launch and don't miss a gear.
